Kodak makes a great disposable camera with their Kodak Max HQ 35mm single use camera. The camera takes some pretty good photos considering it's a single use camera. Indeed, many of the pictures I've taken using this camera come out almost as well as they would have if I had used a more expensive, conventional 35mm camera instead.
Don't open the box and unwrap the camera from its foil paper wrapping until you're ready to use it; and make sure you use this camera before the expiration date printed on the cardboard box. When you do want to use the camera it's simple enough to use. Wind it up for the first photo you take by running your thumb on the dial on the top of the camera from left to right. Want a flash for your picture? No problem. Just push the flash button on the front of the camera and within seconds the camera can take a flash picture. There's also an indicator on the top of the camera to tell you how many pictures you have left on the roll of film inside it.
The 800 film helps make this camera very useful for both outdoor and indoor photos; and it's easy to carry this camera because it's so light and compact. It can fit into a woman's pocketbook, a man's briefcase, backpack or just about any overnight travel bag.
You also get 27 exposures per camera; this makes the camera great for vacations or extensive photo taking days like weddings and other ceremonies. Great!
Unfortunately, there is one fly in the ointment. Although this camera is really very good; the pictures it takes are not quite as clear and crisp as they would be from a digital camera or a conventional 35mm camera with the individual rolls of film you put in and then take out when you're ready to have the film developed. I hope that Kodak remedies this problem quickly; but until then I have to take off a star for this to make this a four star review.
Overall, this single use camera is convenient and budget priced. After all, digital cameras and regular 35mm cameras can get somewhat expensive; this is your best choice if you're on a budget and want a Kodak quality camera. It doesn't yet have the technology to take the very best quality pictures so I hope Kodak works on this in the near future.
Four stars!

I work at a professional photofinishing lab, and I can attest to the quality of the film inside this camera. The Kodak HQ Max Versatility camera is the highest-quality single-use camera available on the market. It produces a high-quality image in most situations.
This camera comes loaded with Kodak Max Versatility 800-speed film. For best results, always use the built-in flash when shooting indoors or at night.
This camera produces excellent-quality images. If you are thinking of enlarging your photos to 8"x10" (or larger!), or if you are using the image for any kind of commercial or artistic application, you should strongly consider the Kodak HQ Max Versatility OTUC. |

Unfortunately Kodak seem to spend a small fortune making their Disposable Camera's look Sleek and Trendy. However the Photos always turn out very Average despite being loaded with so called High Quality Kodak Max 400 Film. IMO Kodak Max 400 Film is one of the worst films on the Market. I've used the Kodak Max HQ a couple of times and was disapointed with the Photos. Grainy, Washed out Colors. I've yet to try the New High Definition Film, hopefully this Film is slightly better. |

| We bought two of these for our first trip to NYC. The pictures were grainy, washed out and just plain awful. We bought the more expensive cameras thinking the pictures would be even better than the cheaper one time cameras. We were so wrong. I contacted Kodak's customer service and they said it was either the photographer or the developer. Then they generously mailed me a $2 off coupon to buy another. As if I will buy another one of their cameras!! I will never use another Kodak product after the treatment I received from their customer service. |

It's a pity Kodak in Australia aren't as Customer Service Focused as they are with the below poster. I bought a Max HQ Camera and the Flash didn't work, I called Customer Service to complain and they were of no help and wanted me to send the Camera back with a Letter. No replacement, nothing, just attitude! I've used these Kodak Max HQ Cameras two other times in 2002, The results have been Poor, Washed out Colours, as the Person mentioned below...Poor reproduction of Skin Tones. Hey I'm White, but I'm not THAT White!! Unless Kodak bring out a better One Time Use Camera soon I'm going to start buying another Brand, maybe Agfa or Fuji. |

| I was going to a Birthday Party on 15-Nov-02 and decided to take this Camera with me. The Photos turned out a bit Grainy in some shots with not much Colour. Also the Skin Tones looked a bit Pale. I used one of these Cameras last year but it was the "Kodak MAX" One time Use Camera, those pictures turned out better. Unfortunately they have Deleted that line (Well in this country Anyway) of One Time Use Camera and replaced them with this new Kodak MAX HQ Model which I don't think is as good. |

| I bought one of these Cameras the other Day...I was a little Skeptical at First because it was only a Disposable/Recycleable Camera. My Friend was having a 30th Birthday and I wanted to Snap some Photos. The Photographs turned out really Clear and Colourful, I was Suprised!! My Friend used his Proper Camera to get a few shots, but they ended up looking Washed Out, and Under Exposed, nowhere near as Great as the Disposable ones! ** Just a Note, I had these Photographs Reprinted at a Different Photo Store to the Store who Developed the Pictures and they turned out 100% better than the Original Set! So it certainly Pays to try different Stores!! The Reprints are Fantastic and So Clear :o) |

| I have used this camera in a variety of situations and light conditions. It certainly is the best disposable camera I have ever used. Going to the beach this summer? Have one with you. Suggestion for Kodak people: what about a version without flash, lighter and less expensive? |
