"Nice simple turntable" | 2008-09-23 |

| I just started listening to vinyl. I do consider myself an audiophile. I'm a Berklee College of Music Grad. I was going to buy a more expensive turntable, but all the other ones were meant for DJ work. I just want to listen to the records, not scratch them to hell. This table sounds great, i might get a better needle and stylus for it however, but the one that came with it is just fine for average listeners. If you want to listen to your beegee records this is a good table. I'm listening to Vivaldi and it sounds fantastic. Enjoy! |

| I bought this turntable to be able to transfer vinyl records onto CD via my home PC. This turntable fits the bill perfectly. It has a built in pre-amp so the input voltage is just right. It is not a sophisticated hi-fi product but it is not meant to be - basically it does what it is supposed to do! |

If you're looking for a simple to use, cheap turntable to play your records, this one will work. If you've never played a vinyl record in your life, this turntable takes care of starting and stopping the record automatically. Setup is minimal and you can go from opening the box to playing a record in less than 5 minutes.
If you're looking for a professional-style turntable with lots of features, this won't work for you. If you need the turntable to sit more than a foot from your receiver you will also need a cord extension. The cartridge isn't replaceable and there's no tone adjustment.
I've used this product every night for over a month now and I haven't had a single problem with it. It plays records, nothing more, nothing less. |

| This turntable is far from the best, but it's great for the price. I don't really have any complaints except one. I've read that this cartridge cannot be replaced. The manual says nothing about replacing the cartridge either. I've also found sites that sell upgrade kits for the AT-PL50 with a new belt, cartridge, and stylus. Does anybody know if it is truly possible to upgrade it? Thanks. |

| I bought this after I dug out my old record collection from my parent's basement. My ultimated goal is to digitalize a lot of my collection, but ater reading a lot of reviews of USB turntables, I was not impressed. Plus, this one would not be that hard to hook up and record to disk, just need to get the software. This thing has great reviews everywhere and I LOVE the pre-amp so I can plug it in anywhere. For the last month I have been listening to record after record and this turntable has been perfect. |

Not sure why some here are down on this product. I purchased it specifically to transfer my sizeable LP collection to digital, and was very, very pleasantly surprised at the quality of those transfers thus far. I Googled a couple of documents on setting up turntables to computers, and found detailed instructions on what turned out to be a simple process. There are plenty of easy to use freeware programs that can be used to make the transfers and split or edit the tracks. The whole process is very, very easy to master, and the turntable itself does the job very well. I've had no problems with skipping, speeding up, or any of the other issues that some have reported.
Obviously you aren't getting an audiophile quality product for under seventy five dollars, but if you are looking to play your albums one more time in order to bring your music to a more widespread format, this is a great item. I look forward to rediscovering many lost treasures thanks to this turntable. Simply a great deal. |

Does what it says, gives you basic record playing ability, with NO adjustments possible except for 7 or 12 inch disk, and 33 1/3 or 45 rpm. Has a fancy rubberband for a drive belt.
Adequate for the price, don't expect anything fancy tho. Selling points are that it's cheap and has a line out capability. Drawbacks, no tonearm adjustments, no suspension, no anti-skate/bias/speed/etc adjustments. |
