| Great album for the car. An hour of new music from around the world. Leek and the Bouncing Uptones from South Africa starts the CD out with new great songs and some terrific horn work. Souldier of Fortune debuts next with a couple of songs that sound alot like the Long Beach Dub Allstars. Speaking of which the next two songs are from Long Beach Shortbus themselves. Three and a Quarter from Portugal are 4th up. 3 1/4 sounds like Secret Hate and Sublime put together. Great stuff. Mongrel from Germany has 3 new songs, which have a bit of a Pennywise influence, but don't get me wrong they are diffenently an original act. The Dutch band Walrus has a couple of rocking tunes, followed by Long Beach Corn Dog laying down some cool surf covers. The last song is a Live Falling Idols song, with local rock-star Ken Rocker sharing the lead vocals. A must have for LB Shortbus fans, and anyone else who likes good music. |
