Many punks do not concider Blink to be punk rock. I'll have to go ahead and disagree. They had the pop-punk sound. It just so happened that they became a supergroup in the late 90s. I never here any one diss greenday who sold more than blink. I do agree that Scott Rayner was better drummer than Travis Barker. I do believe that Buddah and Dude Ranch are blink two best records. I do believe that Emema of State and Take of Your Pance Jacket are punk albums. I do not like their self-titled 2003 record as much. I do believe Travis is a clown. The Mark Tom and Travis show is a live concert recorded in San Diego. It has all their hits and fan favorites. "Carousel" , "untitled", and Pathetic" are my favorite songs off this cd. "Blew Job" , and "The Country Song" are funny. The skits that Tom and Mark do between songs are funny. They really sound good live. I did see them do a show at the 2000 warp-tour back when the warped tour was a punk show. If you are fan of blink or just some one who heard Dammit or All the small things on the radio you definately need to pick of this Cd. |

| Great CD. My original one from 2000 got stolen so I had to buy this one. Blink-182 was a great band to see live. Reminds me of the good old days. Buy this CD if you don't have it. |

| Great Blink 182 CD but, it is out of print so it's kind of rare. Any true Blink fan owns this cd. Blink 182 at their best, they are immature and funny as hell! This is before their "Take Off Your Pants And Jacket" album and would be even more awesome if those songs were on here but this CD is still very very very good and highly recommended!! |

Blink 182's live album kicked some serious whoo-hoo! I loved it! See, I went to the Mark Tom and Travis show concert just after Enema of the State was released, and this album brings back some good memories. The Jr. High humour is unrelenting and hillarious! I did, however, feel very awkward at the concert for all of the teens with their parents with them... this isn't the kind of thing that you take your parents to (the parental advisory sticker is well deserved), but rather the kind of thing that you share with all of your friends. This album is tops. It took me ages to find it at a good price (some people wanted $50 for it!!!!) cuz it isn't that well-known. But trust me, if you like Blink's older stuff (Dude Ranch and Cheshire Cat) like the Depends song and Ben Wa Balls etc, then this is the album is right up your alley! And if you're not familiar with those albums, well, get them too. They're classic and completely light-hearted. Anyhow, enjoy this album! |

this is a good live album. i dont watch mtv and i hope no one else does but this is good live. the jokes in between songs are hilarious as long as your not uptight or disgusted by their language. the bestpart is the 20 something tracks of them just talking.
buy this if you enjoy blink. if not, go buy something else. its plain and simple. |

| This is a good live blink 182 cd....Almost too good. I have a couple other concerts of them and the quality of their singing and playing isn't anything compared to this one. I thing their was some kind of tampering with the vocals. On the other blink cds, you can't even understand half of the things tom says, but everything is clear and understandable on this cd. Oh-well, besides that, the cd is good because they change the voice patterns on some songs like What's my age again and Voyeur and Pathetic. Even if they did mess with the cd, i still love them. |

Such good fun and humour. Tom and Mark are so funny and first time listening to it really made me laugh. Also the songs on it are awesome from their best album enema of the state.
you have not lived until you have listened to it |

Mentioning the name Blink-182 in front of Punk fans is a fun thing to do. If they're of the Old School, they often go off on a rant about how kids these days have no idea what Punk is, and Blink-182 definitely ain't it. Say the name to one of the clueless teens who so enrage the crusty Punks, and opinion is divided. Girls love `em because they're hot, the boys don't because their music sucks. So many emotions and so much controversy was never created by so little.
Blink-182 may have been Punk in the early days of their career, but by the time they recorded `The Mark, Tom And Travis Show', they were a Pop group with guitars. They aren't exactly the sanitised boyband type Pop, but Pop nonetheless. The guitar sound is nonthreatening, the bass respectable, and the drums just a slight bit sloppy.
The songwriting is simple, but is a formula which works well for the band The vocal melodies are simple yet lush, and generally carry the songs over top of the no frills instrumentation. The vocals sound very polished for a live recording, so either the members of Blink-182 are good singers, or there's been a degree of studio manipulation. You decide...
The band's between song ad-lib comedy performance is a highlight, to such an extent 29 extra short tracks of it are tacked on the end of the album. The humour is suitably juvenile and scatological. Of course, all three members rip each other, making fun of their sexuality, musical inability, appearance and mothers. Satan visits intermittently through the show, thanks to a vocal harmonizer. Topics for conversation include Tom Cruise, dressing in your mother's clothes and seducing your Dad, oral sex, getting sweaty, self-manipulation ("I was inspecting them for strange bumps"), and the ubiquitous dog jokes. Girls flashing at concerts is not a new phenomenon, and for most bands, it's a bonus for performing live. For Blink-182 though, it goes along the lines of "Boobies! You're too young. You're far too young".
The song "Family Reunion" consists of purposefully offensive lyrics, and "Country Song" isn't far different. It's the sort of thing 12 year olds laugh out loud at, and adults pretend isn't funny, but snigger quietly to themselves about.
The weepy "Adam's Song" is the only deviation from the dumb white kid Pop/Rock formula. It was a big hit for the band, and deservedly so. The song is restrained and respectful, and has some attractive vocal hooks which come across well in the live situation.
But still, songs like "What's My Age Again?" (One of the band members shouts"Here comes the slow pretty part!" mid-song), "All The Small Things" and "Dammit" are irresistible simply because they're good dumb fun.
There is little of any substance or real meaningful content on this entire album, but there isn't meant to be. Overanalyse the band, their image, their intentions and their impact all you like. This album is simply lowest common denominator Pop entertainment and nothing more. Put your brain out of gear and enjoy. |

This is a very good live album, I will give it that, but I need to say that everyone that said "Blink 182 is the best live band ever" has probably only heard them live on this CD or at that concert, because if you heard them at the Pop Disaster Tour or the Warped Tour, they sounded like (...)But it is a good album (so good it might be lip synced)Its very funny, as well. But its not because I have an immuture sense of humor (I laugh at Fraiser...), its because Tom and Mark do. But I must say that Blink 182, Like green day, reached an album where the music was still good, but it was no longer fun (for Blink it was Enema of the State, for green day it was Nimord)And I just want to say to everyone who is saying "teens will burn in hell for this" can say that. I dont care. Beleive what you want to beleive, do what you want to do
Listen to what you want to listen to. |
