I first heard about Junkie XL through a radio appearance where he was interviewed and some of the tracks off this album were played. The two which really struck me were Crusher (sung by Saffron) and Angels (the Gary Numan track). Based on that, I bought the album and I'm quite pleased with it. Of the two CDs, I prefer the 3pm CD. The three Saffron tracks (Crusher, Sprits, Beauty Never Fades) remain my favorites, but the the rest of the CD is strong as well. The 3am CD is not bad, but the higher energy of the 3pm CD is what I keep coming back to.

Shortly after buying this CD I also bought Junkie XL's companion album entitled 7am, which is available for download off his website. That one is 19 tracks divided into two discs: 7am - ambient, and 7am - dance. It's just under two hours of additional music, and has some interesting reworkings of the Computer Hell Cabin material. If you really like this album, I recommend 7am as well.

When I first bought this CD I wasnt too familiar with JXL's own production. Only remixes he had done of other artists. What attracted me to the album was first watching "The UMF Experience", a sort of documentary on the closing event of the Winter Music Conference in Miami FL thats held every year. I had watched and really liked the 2 songs of his played on the program (Breezer and Beauty Never Fades...the program also brought me to attend UMF 2005 but thats another story). From the moment I heard the radio jingles on the Intro I was hooked. In my opinion the man is a musical genius. 3 PM is his own take on daytime radio and very interesting. Even if you arent into elcetronica I would think Crusher, Reload, Perfect Ble Sky and Access to the Excess are worth checking out. 3 AM is what I'm all about (being an Electronic Dance Music DJ myself). I could listen to this disc over and over and not get tired of it. From the ambience of Chilled...to the flight of Breezer..to the slam of Nudge and Beauty Never Fades. Together both CD's combine to make what I think is one of the best pieces of music ever made.

I'll sum up my feelings for this album in two characters... : (

I was extremely disapointed when I popped this CD in... I had such high hopes, being a fan of Saturday Teenage Kick and LOVING Big Sounds of the Drags. Obviously it was the "unkie" in Junkie XL that supplied the quality beats, as after he dropped it for his version of "Little Less Conversation" things went seriously downhill.

I'm just gonna sit here and listen to Love Like Razorblade and reminisce the good old days...

This is def a great cd and mix for Junkie. This album has go just what you need to get you in the mood. This album reminds me a lot of his performance at this years Ultra Fest7 in Miami Fl March 26,2005. I saw him live and it was SICK keep up the good work.late.

Junkie XL is one amazing producer and he lets his talents shine on "A Broadcast from Computer Hell." The first disc starts off with one of the best tracks on the album; "Tennis" It then moves on to some very catchy and great tracks That never seem to get old. By midway, "PerfectBlueSky" comes on with a beautiful melody accompanied by an amazing vocalist; Robert Smith. The 3PM cd even includes an Elvis Remix!

The second CD; "3AM" is the Calm after the storm. It takes things to an after hours level with too 12 inch cuts of two of the tracks on 3PM (Angel and Perfect Blue Sky). It also features a track with Sasha. This CD is very good and features a variety of tracks. This CD truly has something for everyone.
