If you love the Frech version but have trouble reading it, this is the book to use with. It translates almost as closely also.

I was thrilled to find this great book on Amazon. A beautiful story about how fragile we are, this book isn't easy to find, but Amazon carries it. The only disappointment is that I could not get it in hard cover. I bought this book for a friend a couple of years ago, through Amazon as well, and I believe it was in hard cover. Would be nice if this options was available, as it makes for such a great gift.
Thanks,
Maria

This is a lovely story. I followed the advice of other reviews and got the original translation rather than the newer one. This meant that I had to find a used copy, which wasn't difficult and the buyer got it to me quickly and in good condition. This is a book that will be kept and cherished forever

I don't know what the translation is "supposed" to be but I found this to be one of the most beautiful books I've ever read!! For everyone and anyone who is a child, or a child at heart; for those of us who ache and yearn and love to think, feel, create AND..love...read this book!! I can't and won't describe anything about it other than it's mysterious and lovely and gentle and special.
A REAL treat. A treat for and from the heart.

This is my first time reading "The Little Prince", and I've found it to be outstanding - even as an adult. It has truly been an adventure reading it, and I look forward to keeping and sharing the book for many years. Highly recommended.
"A terrible children's book"

The Little Prince, regardless of how much it is loved, is a terrible book for children. It teaches that adults like numbers not because they explain something beautiful about the world, but because they count things; that specialization and the drive to understand, as represented by the Geographer, are unworthy pursuits; and that technological innovation is worthless. Rather than eat a water pill, the little prince would like to go out in search of a fountain; perhaps rather than making use of a toilet, he would prefer to wander off into a beautiful forest with a small shovel. Adults who wish to travel to another place do so not because they wish to explore their world, but because they are unhappy where they are. The message, of course, is to be happy with where you are; be happy with what you already know; and do not bother to explore or to learn, for these things are fool's errands. I cannot think of a worse message for an inquisitive child than the one contained in this book.
