This book illustrates to children a great bed time routine by brushing teeth, bathing, pajamas, and turning off the light. My two year old loves this book and knows what to expect when we are through reading.
I like that this book is hardcover, my daughter points out the different animals, and the setting is on a boat, which my daughter likes. The end of the book shows serene quiet activity which shows my daughter how bedtime should be.

Love reading this quick little book.

Now everyone goes below, to take a bath in one big tub, with soap all over scrub scrub scrub...
Now down the stairs but not so fast, they are on their way to bed but not so fast...

I never got though why they would take a bath and then go work out. I always that that was just odd but my kids don't know the differance.

This book does nothing to prepare children to go to bed. There are much better bedtime books available. This book has no storyline.

This is the PERFECT bedtime book! We've used it as part of the standard bedtime routine for both our kids (now 4 and 15 months). When we get to the "rock and rock and rock to sleep" ending they know it's time for one last snuggle and into their beds! We have a large version of the board book for at home, and the small (regular) size for traveling. I really enjoy Sandra Boynton as an author, and this book is my favorite!
