We bought this and other Boynton books (Blue Hat, Green Hat; Doggies; But Not the Hippopotamus when our daughter was a baby (our son was 4) and to this day, these remain family favorites! When all of the other board books have been given away, Boynton has a treasured place on our shelves.
The whimsy, silliness, and sensitivity of the books are a delight to child and adult alike. You'll be reading this book and the others 1,000s of times to your child, you should enjoy them as well.

| My grandchildren will love this book by one of my favorite children authors - Sandra Boynton. The simplicity of the photos make it easy for them to take in, and the story line is such fun. Most enjoyable! |

My daughter is 8 months old, we have been reading this book to her since she was 5 months old and it NEVER gets old. It is the perfect length - long enough to be entertaining and relax her, short enough to keep her attention. She really seems to enjoy the rhythm of this book, and every time I say "Three singing pigs say La La La!" she lights up and often giggles. Now even if I say the name of the book she gets excited.
When we first started reading it to her, she was more interested in the colors and the sounds that came out of her parent's mouths. Now, she really follows our finger as we read, she examines the pictures, touches the animals when I mention them, and tries to flip the page when I am finished reading.
The story is easy to personalize - we add our dogs' names, the names of the two bigger dogs who live across the street, and the last page I add her name. I don't fully see why this book is more enjoyable than any other one in my daughter's library but I think it was one of the best shower gifts I received and I plan to purchase it for any other moms-to-be. A total winner! |

| My wife and I have been reading aloud to our daughter almost since we brought her home from the hospital, and we credit Moo, Baa, La La La! for helping her say some of her first words. She also started "reading" on her own...turning the pages and saying the sounds and words she remembered. Sandra Boynton's board books are one of the reasons our daughter loves books, and there is no greater praise we could give an author than that. |

| I bought this book a year ago for my now 23 month old son. It quickly became one of his favorites and for the last two months has been such a favorite, he has to sleep with it in his crib at night! (I've tried to send him to bed without it, but he fusses "moobaalaa!" until i bring it to him!). The first few times that he had it in bed with him, i heard him over the monitor in the morning "reading" the book. I almost cried, it was so cute! It is a great book, fun to read, and actually isn't old, even to me, after reading it 20 billion times! This is more than i can say for other books, which i admittedly have tried to "hide" on the bookshelf... I highly recommend this book. |
