This is such a well-written book. Even though the story is very simple, this is a total page-turner. The main character is so relatable, and you understand what he is feeling every step of the way. Also, the character of the girl, Leslie, is memorable.
Robert Sean Leonard does a beautiful reading of this book. What I like about his performance is that he treats each word with such respect and thoughtfulness. He gets into the spirit of the book.
I highly recommend this!

I am going to be short. Amazingly even the 1 star reviews seem to have positive things to say. This book is as powerful book as I have ever read, only 2 books in my whole life ( I have read alot of books )has ever actually made me cry ( the other being Where the Red Fern Grows ). Kids need to be treated as if they have common sense though I wonder nowadays. Death is a part of life, better get used to it, this book is sad, but remember that how we live is more important than how long we live. I am a cynical S.O.B., but this book is a must read for children because it treats death as tragedy, an inevitable part of life, and something one can overcome. All of us oneday will face this, better be prepared and deal, or be suprised and damaged.

The book was interesting, but the narrator is monotone and really doesn't do the book justice. I would not recommend this product.

I am an 8 year old girl. This is a great book. You're in for a shocker if you read it to almost the end.
