Who would have thought that Looney Tunes and Basketball would be a pretty good mix? Bugs and Daffy and friends are about to be taken as slaves for Mister Swackhammer, the proprietor for Moron Mountain. They must defeat Swackhammer's tiny minions with a game of basketball. This would be easier than expected (seeing that it was Bugs and his friends' idea in the first place), but the minions have stolen the talents of Basketball all-stars (including Patrick Ewing and Charles Barkley) and have become the "Monstars"! They are now stronger and bigger than they were before. So now, the Looney Tunes have only one hope: Michael Jordan. And what you get is 88 minutes of good ol' hilarity, with slapstick humor that's almost equal to the original animated Looney shorts.
This is a very entertaining movie. It has Bugs, Sylvester, and Daffy playing basketball with M.J., which is a pretty memorable concept. The reason why I've given this film four stars instead of five is because of Lola Bunny. She was a very unnecessary addition to the Looney Tunes. She's not funny, she's irritating, and she tries too hard to look attractive. Another reason is Michael Jordan's acting. It's very wooden at times, but he's not as bad as Shaq (I think you know which movie I'm talking about). But everything else is just fine. Wayne Knight and Bill Murray are pretty funny in their supporting roles. But the real stars here are, of course, the Looney Tunes. I'm pretty sure that fans of Bugs, Yosemite Sam, Tweety, and Marvin the Martian will get a kick out of this movie. It's fun for both families and Looney Tunes fans.

I ordered this to replace the VHS copy we alreay own. We received the shipment in a timely manner and the packaging appears in good shape. I am actually saving it for a Christmas present so we haven't watched it yet. I trust the DVD is in as good of condition as the case, so I don't expect any problems.

My eight year old was begging me for Space Jam as I searched the web I came across this video for $2.95. Still having 3 VCR's in the house I purchased the video and the kids have been watching over and over. The video arrived as promised in described condition.
This is a great animated video for the family with the looney tunes characters in it. I recommend this video for all ages.
"Looney Tunes meet Michael Jordan, why didn't I think of that?"

Yo yo yo, Movie Review Kid in the hiz-house! Gosh, that sounded so cool. Anyway, you may know me from several movie reviews such as The Powerpuff Girls Movie & The Simpsons Movie. I'm here to review Space Jam. Me being a kid, am very fond of cartoons. And I am especially fond of the ones called Looney Tunes. Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, and the speech "pwoblem" hunter, Elmer Fudd and the whole Looney Tune gang always find someway to entertain me or laugh the life out of me. Michael Jordan, a famous basketball player is beloved by millions of people, as is Bugs Bunny. So it's only destiny they be combined in some sort of wacky movie. On November 15, 1996, my prayer was answered. A poster I saw said this: Michael Jordan Bugs Bunny Space Jam I fainted and woke up the next morning. I thought "Cartoons and Live-Action...together? Never a thing has been done before. Well except for 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' but no one watches that movie anymore." And so I saw the movie. It turns out that a new Looney Tune appears. The one called Lola Bunny. I think Bugs like, got a crush on her or something but I'm not sure. In 2003, they released a 2-Disc Special Edition DVD with a free child's movie pass to see the next movie in the Looney Tunes Cartoon/Live Action movie series, "Looney Tunes Back in Action." I haven't seen that movie yet but I'll probably get it on DVD and then do a review on that too. And so get offya lazy butt and do something ya doofus! It'll do ya some good and help you lose pounds, Man. And the best part is, you can't find out where I live so you can give me a part of your mind. Safe in good old Chicago. Uh-oh. Dude out.
This movie is really, really dumb. That said, it's still rather entertaining. It's one of my guilty pleasures!
Don't watch this if you're an animation elitist, it will make you cry. If you're bored and want a few laughs and some 90's nostalgia, pop this in and heckle it with your friends.
