I wish I could express how much a movie like this one can take you away to a place that you can leave all of your worries behind. I am a true fan of this one and am ordering more today because of it. I haven't seen Pride and Prejudice or Persuasion so I will wait for them to arrive with much anticipation. You will not regret one moment buying this movie.
Needless to say the actors are so talented they make you feel you are there. I don't know how else to describe it, so I will just say BUY IT!!! I am certain you will enjoy.
Also I ordered this using my prime account and received it the day after I ordered it which actually was one day faster than promised. |

| If you like period pieces and happy endings, this is the movie for you. Sense and Sensibility has always been a favorite of mine. The cast is wonderful and Alan Rickman as the gentle and lonely Colonel Brandon is one of his best roles. Emma Thompson and Hugh Grant make for a lovely couple as Elenor and Edward. Sense and Sensibility will make you laugh and cry. A great movie! |

| Jane Austin's classic comes to life as an excellent cast portrays the story of Sense and Sensibility. This story has so much more depth than most romances. I laughed and cried through the whole film. All of the acting was superb and the story had all the emotion, intrigue, humor, sorrow, and joy that I could hope for from a film! |

| This movie was an extremely cut down version of the full flick. Missing over 45 minutes of movie. I hardly call that "Special Edition". That should be brought to someone's attention when they order. If I didn't want to see the whole movie, I wouldn't have been shopping for it. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! |

| Before watching this movie, I was not truly a Jane Austen fan -- I was a "Pride and Predjudice" fan. I love Pride and Predjudice, and wanted more of Jane Austen as a result, but Mansfield Park and Fanny Price dissapointed me after the sparkle and romance of her better known love story. I was mistaken in thinking none of her other works could give as much pleasure as the first I was introduced to. Sense and Sensibility is a serious, deep, romantic work, exploring the cpmplexities of human thought and behavior. The movie is amazingly faithful to the book. The actors perform the characters they portray with acurracy, passion, and respect. Prepare to be taken, heart and soul. |
