The early Simpsons shows are amazing! You are really missing out if you haven't seen them! They are way better than the newer stuff if you can believe it! Yep, true, so true! So get yourself this box set as well as season 1 & 2. You shall laugh your shorts off. This is adult humor. I would decide if I wanted my kiddies to watch or not, it's up to you the parent & what you approve of. This is on regular TV at 8pm.

As with the 1st 2 season 3 of the simpsons has some great episodes 1 in which has to be the best is Stark Raving Dad in which after being in the wash 1 of homers white t-shirts ends up in the wash with barts red hat and turns pink homer ends going to work in it where burns notices it and gets homer sent to the loony bin where he ends up in a room with a big guy who thinks he's michael jackson the result is 1 of the best jokes ever in which the whole town gather to meet him thinking he is the real deal.

Another great season and must have

All the chapters and caracters are extremely funny.
For me it's the beginning of the Simpson style that keep on today.
Totally recommended.

My favorite episodes in this collection of Simpson fun is Lisa's Pony,Treehouse of Horror II and the outrageously funny Radio Bart.If you are a baseball fan, then Homer at the Bat is the episode for you featuring some of best in baseball from the early 1990's. Great fun as always for the Simpson fans in all of us!!

I really love "The Simpsons" but there is something missing in this season, it's probarly the humor that the first two seasons had. Don't get me wrong it's a funny season, maybe just a little to serious in half of this season. It's not hilarious like the first two seasons were. At least this beautiful purple-ish/pink box comes with it and photos are very funny!.

1. Stark Raving Dad - After a misunderstanding at work, Homer is committed to a mental institution.
2. Lisa enters a nationwide patriotism themed essay contest, and the Simpson family heads off to Washington D.C. for an all expenses paid trip, when Lisa qualifies for the essay contest finals to be held at the Kennedy Center.
3. When Flanders Failed - Ned Flanders decides to open the Leftorium, his new shop for left-handed people. Everyone is happy for Ned except for Homer, who wishes for the Flanders family to go broke and that's what happens to Ned.
4. Bart The Murderer - After a miserable day in which Bart had nothing go right for him, he crashes his skateboard into the stairwell of the Legitimate Businessman's Social Club; Bart falls in with a particularly bad crowd: the Springfield Mafia and then soon is framed for murder.
5. Homer Defined - Homer falls asleep at the Nuclear Power Plant, unaware that he has caused a near-fatal meltdown. With only seconds until impact, he stops the meltdown by pushing a random button on the console and becomes a hero.
6. Like Father, Like Clown - Krusty the Clown reveals that he is the estranged son of an Orthodox Jewish Rabbi, who doesn't acept Krusty for wanting to be a clown.
7. Treehouse Of Horror II - After eating piles and piles of Halloween candy, Bart, Lisa and Homer have nightmares that haunt them all night. Including: The Monkey's Paw, The Bart Zone, If I Only Had A Brain.
8. Lisa's Pony - When Homer disappoints Lisa at the talent show, he decides to buy her a pony to win back her love. Lisa loves the pony, but Marge is angry with Homer because of their problems with the bills.
9. Saturdays Of Thunder - Bart becomes deeply immersed in competitive soapbox racing while Homer begins to realize that he's not as good a father as he thought.
10. Flaming Moe's - Homer invents a bizarre drink he calls the Flaming Homer, but Moe takes the credit when it becomes a big hit!.
11. Burns Verkaufen Der Kraftwerk - Homer learns that his stock in the company has risen to $25. Not knowing that it would move up to $5200, he sells his stock, spends it all on expensive beer, and then gets chewed out by the family for a stupid mistake. The reason for the big stock price was that Mr. Burns sells The Springfield Nuclear Power Plant for $100 million and then plans to retire.
12. I Married Marge - Marge is supposedly pregnant, so she rushes to the hospital and while she's gone, Homer recount his early years with Marge before Bart and Lisa. Back in 1980, a young Homer and Marge get married at Shotgun Pete's Wedding Chapel after Marge becomes pregnant.
13. Radio Bart - Homer buys Bart a Superstar Celebrity microphone for his birthday. Bart thinks it's the lamest gift in the world until he realizes he can play some great pranks with it. One of his pranks backfires when the entire town comes to the rescue of "Timmy O'Toole," the little boy Bart pretends has fallen down a well. (The funniest episode in the season).
14. Lisa The Greek - Homer discovers that Lisa has an uncanny ability to pick winning football teams.
15. Homer Alone - Marge has a nervous breakdown from being overworked and underappreciated and is sent to Rancho Relaxo resort for some much-needed rest and relaxation. While she's off spoiling herself, Homer sends Bart and Lisa to stay with their Aunts Patty and Selma but must take care of Maggie himself.
16. Bart The Lover - During a particularly long detention jag, Bart discovers that his teacher, Mrs. Krabappel, has placed a personal ad looking for love. Thinking it would be funny to get back at her; Bart writes her a love letter as "Woodrow," the perfect man who loves holding hands and hates yo-yos like Edna.
17. Homer At The Bat - Mr. Burns makes a million dollar bet with his arch-rival Aristotle Amadopolis that the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant team will beat the Shelbyville Nuclear Power Plant team in the softball championships. To ensure victory, Burns hires a number of ringers, including pro baseball players, kicking Homer off the team.
18. Separate Vocations - After taking career aptitude tests, Lisa discovers that the occupation she's best suited for is homemaker while Bart is pegged as a future police officer. Each takes the opportunity to explore their options as Lisa spends the day doing chores at home with Marge and Bart goes on a ride along with the police. Lisa hates her role and rebels by becoming a troublemaker at school.
19. Dog Of Death - Homer believes that he will win the big lottery of $130,000,000 and buys 50 tickets, but none of them are the winning ticket. Meanwhile, Santa's Little Helper has to be rushed to the hospital to undergo an emergency operation; he has a twisted stomach. Homer is saddened to tell Bart and Lisa that they just can't afford the $750 for the operation, but seeing how much everyone--including himself--loves the dog, he resolves to find a way to pay for it.
20. Colonel Homer - Homer and Marge have a fight after attending a boring movie and Homer drives off angry. As he drives, he pulls up to a honky-tonk bar called Beer 'N' Brawl where he meets an aspiring country music singer named Lurleen Lumpkin.
21. Black Widower - Selma agrees to marry her prison pen pal, Sideshow Bob. Bart and Lisa are terrified of their soon-to-be new uncle, since Bob swore he'd get revenge on Bart for having him sent to prison for framing Krusty the Clown for robbery.
22. The Otto Show - Bart goes with Milhouse to a Spinal Tap concert and decides he wants to become a rock star. Homer and Marge get him a guitar, which he doesn't know how to play. When Otto plays it in the school bus, he enjoys it a little too much, and suddenly realizes that he is running late. He crashes the bus while taking a short cut to school and it is discovered that he doesn't have a driver's license, which costs him his job and his house.
23. Bart's Friend Falls In Love - Everything's coming up Milhouse when Bart's best friend falls in love with the new girl, Samantha Stanky. Bart is jealous of how much time Milhouse is spending with Samantha and plans to break them up by telling Samantha's strict father about the relationship.
24. Brother Can You Spare Two Dimes? - Homer is first revealed to be impotent because of the nuclear plant, so Homer is rewarded with an award for "Excellence in the field of Excellence". Homer's half-brother Herb Powell returns, but this time not as a successful businessman. After Homer wrecked his car company, Herb has become a bum, but with a little help from Maggie, he thinks he has come up with a shoo-in invention that will put him back on top.

"Mr. Lisa goes to Washington" was probably one of the funniest Simpsons episodes I have ever seen. The dad yelling at his son backstage after the son apparently flubbed his lines in his speech was priceless. Along with the always classic annual Treehouse of Horror episode with Kodos and Kang ("...to pronounce it correctly, I would have to pull out your tongue"), this is definitely one of the best Simpsons seasons.
