| This is a great walking workout. I did not have the ab belt that they use in the video, so I use 2 two lb. weights when they use the belt. I think it increases the burn even more. All of Leslie's videos are easy to follow and keep up with even if you are a beginner. |

"My Favorite Leslie Sansone Walking Workouts" | 2009-02-01 |

I have many of Leslie Sansone's walking DVD's and I think this is my favorite. It uses the WATP Belt - and I can't tell if this Amazon listing includes it or not. You don't have to have the belt to do the workout, but I think it makes the workout more effective. (The belt velcros around your waist and has stretch cording between the belt and the handles. I do weight workouts and was surprised to feel some arm fatigue while doing the workout.)
This workout has three separate routines - 1 mile, 2 mile and 3 miles Note/Warning: The 1 and 2 mile workouts are the same ones on the WATP for Abs - 2 Miles, so if you're trying to decide between the two, I'd recommend buying this one to get all three workouts in one - it's a great deal.
The belt is used off and on during the workout, but mainly during the periods when the walking isn't quite as brisk. While not interval training, the brisk walking moves at a pretty quick pace.
While Leslie talks throughout the whole routine, I didn't find her at all annoying, but encourating, motivating and energizing. This workout recognizes half mile intervals, which I particularly like - and each one goes by incredibly quickly - more so than any of the others I do regularly.
The only criticism I have at all with these workouts is that the stretch doesn't include the usual leg and lower back stretch in most of her other routines. It includes only a stretch where you raise your arms above your head. I simply take the time to do the stretches on my own that are on her other workouts, but find it odd that she goes to great lengths on the other DVD's to stress the importance of stretching, only to leave it out on this one. Still, it doesn't really detract from the workout itself being an enjoyable one! |

| All of Ms.Sansome's walking workouts are awesome! If you want to flatten your stomach, this work out will accomplish just that!!! After just a few days using this workout I could see a difference in my stomach. I have been walking with Ms.Sansome for approximately 6 months now. I can tell a difference in my endurance level. Earlier this month my husband and I went on vacation and the trip required a lot of walking. I could go 2 or 3 miles without breaking a sweat or heavy breathing....my husband was lagging behind and normally it's the other way around. He was amazed. These workouts are affordable and well worth your time! |

A co-worker (a nurse) loaned me this DVD. She is a very motivated fitness buff and I am, well, a little less so. With winter and holidays closing in, I needed to move myself indoors and still keep moving. This DVD is the perfect solution - I am now a convert. My co-worker was so right - ANYONE can do this, ANYONE can get healthy!
And it's fairly simple. And it's fun. And you want to go back the next day and the next. That's saying a whole lot about motivation. I did not have the Walk Away belt but followed along anyway just doing the hand movements and started seeing results within doing the DVD 8 times. I couldn't do 3 miles until the 4th time but, as Leslie would say, that's OK - just go at your own pace but keep walking! This DVD is set up to go at your own pace and working up to all 3 miles is something to shoot for. (I finally got up to the 3rd mile the day some Christmas cookies and fudge came into the office). You won't believe how accomplished you feel when you finally do finish the tape and get to that 3rd mile! Leslie does a great job of bumping up the pace for each segment and then bumping it back down again. The moves are easy for even the clutziest person. Truly, anyone can do this. Yes, between 2 and 2.5 miles you are ready to rethink the whole fitness goal but then it gets better and slower.
And you will see results. My sister sees me every week and the 2nd week after I started doing this DVD she walked in and asked, "What are you doing - you're looking a lot trimmer!" Success! thanks to Leslie Sansone! |

Well I got this as my second video (i owned the 1 mile 1st) and to be honest i was a bit skeptical. However i interchange between the one and three mile every day. One day the one mile the next day the three mile. After 2-3 workouts i was feeling great afterwards, just tired. But now at my 5th or 6th time doing it , i'am recovering much quicker and it seems to go by in half an hour rather than the 51 minutes!!!!
I used to sleep in insanely, but now I'm encouraged to get up....to this video!!! The one mile is nice also, I just wanted something more challenging after a while. The music doesn't make me so annoyed, i just don't like some of her song selections. I dont' have the belt, and i don't think i intend on buying it, especially after all the complainty reviews I've read of it breaking.....
Also i got this dvd at my local Target for $14.99. IT might seem a bit outrageous, but it's worth it. I wish though that i' would've looked on here first. Another great thing about this dvd is the variety she add's to the well known steps.
I love the squats, the doubles and the two up, two backs!! Sorry for such a long review....but all in all, I'd say it's worth it!!! Make sure to buy several other video's though, so you dont' start hating this one, it does get kind of boring!!!! |
