Despite some flat acting, this is a tolerable version of the Nadia story, made for TV and aired about the time of the 1984 summer olympics. It's not a documentary; it's a dramatization with actors.
There are no extras, though (not even subtitles), for example: what are they doing now? The original 1976 footage, etc. You're getting just the bare movie.

| I was so happy to track this movie down 20+ years after watching it (over and over again) as a little girl. I'm so happy they came out with a DVD version, since VHS is a dying (and not to mention poor quality) format. I cannot wait to share with my own daughter, although I would expect it to be hard for our newest generations to be able to sit through a 1970s/80s production. However, it's a great story and a nice biographical movie, something fun for mothers and daughters to watch together. If you enjoy a REAL sports movie, this certainly qualifies. |
