I love this CD - it has the rough purity of her earlier blues, including Finest Lovin' Man and my all-time favourite: Women Be Wise. This version of WBW was recorded with Sippie Wallace in 1976. And how can you beat Angel From Montgomery, which she did live with John Prine.
I played this cd until it died and I had to buy another. Superb.

Best Tracks: Angel From Montgomery, Love Has No Pride, Louise
While many only know of Bonnie Raitt from her 1989 Nick Of Time album, others realize that she was an overnight success years in the making.
This albums covers some of the best that Bonnie has to offer from her early years. It's truly a treasure of not only her voice, but her distinctive guitar style.
This CD is well deserved in just about any collection.
I like this collection of Bonnie's songs. She can hold her own against some of the best. Her blues oriented songs are so soulful and true to heart. She's an ideal songstress to listen to on a long road trip. Go Bonnie!!
This cd showcases Bonnie Raitt's older songs and some of her most beloved popular radio songs. I bought it for the older blues like "Love Me Like a Man" and "Give it Up of Let Me Go". There are 20 songs on this cd and it's a great listen.
