I went through and read some of the 1 star reviews of this album and have to say that i was pretty surprised. I mean this album while not musically extraordinary, was excellent and ground breaking. The Sex Pistols were not about hype and publicity. I was a teenager when this came out and all the hype them was about their live shows and the antics they pulled on stage. I remember my mother forbidding my to buy this album for that reason. Big mistake on her part. Most of you snot nosed kids who are complaining about this should listen to your punk icons when they say this band was a big influence on them. And if thats not enough than why is "Anarchy in the UK" probably the most covered punk song of all time. You should grow up and give credit where credit is due!

I just got this CD in the mail about 5 minutes ago, but I've already listened to all of the songs online. I've always loved the Sex Pistols, and their CD is just a collection of all of their great music. Their best songs, in my opinion, are Anarchy in the UK, God Save the Queen, and Pretty Vacant, though I love all of their songs. It's my opinion that the Sex Pistols basically started punk rock, and were the absolute epitome of punk rock. If you like punk rock, or just good music in general, you need this CD. :) Peace out.

This is one record, that deserves to be REMASTERED. The sound quality is lacking at times, although it is still a stand out record, of the PUNK era. Unfortunately, the Sex Pistols, only put out one actual studio record. Despite that, their music lives on.

This is the best album ever. Perfect in every way. He who does not like it, in fact does not like rock. If you are more into samba, rumba or cha-cha-cha, than you will probably HATE this Never Mind.

The Sex Pistols did not need to record another album. This is their ultimate one. Whatever other album would be necessarily worse than this one Bollocks...

OK...Punk rock is ANTI Rock'n'roll, and all of what it stood for... Stardom, chics, and money...Which punk rock bands generally have none of. In NO way did any "REAL" Punk rock band ever want to get as huge as the Sex Pistols.(But that's what ended up happening in the 80's...Because of the Pistols & The Ramones + others...)
First off. The Pistols were created by Malcolm McClaren(sp)as an attempt to profit from the "New" Genre of angry young & poor teens who called themselves "Punkers"...He achieved this only because he had such a Motley group of miscreants, who only knew 3 chord structure (Rock n roll) if anything at all.
Secondly, Sid Vicious. Nuff said.
So...If you wish to say that this album is offensive and awful, you are doing a FAVOR to punk rock in general...If you think it's awesome, you're obviously a punker. So more power to you...
Anybody who writes a great review for Fleetwood Mac, and disses this album is astonishingly enough, NOT into Punk rock. Punk rock was made to rile your insides, boil your brain and spit you out into the street right before a bus hits you.So I hope this helps with your decision to definetly BUY this album... Your friend, Gutter Punk sc*m bag...

This album along with The Scream by Siouxsie and the Banshees changed my perception of music. There is no doubt that without the Sex Pistols punk would have been ruled by such bands as The Clash and The Ramones, who are brilliant yet lack the raw power of the Sex Pistols.
For all the people taking shots at Sid Vicious, he wasn't playing bass on this cd he was too wasted. According to Siouxsie and friends he played just fine when not strung out on heroin.
