"Some great features, but..." | 2009-11-14 |

| When I first saw this on Amazon I was certain it was going to be a truly wonderful product and I ordered it immediately (of course, that Amazon had only 2 left had something to do with that). When I received it everything looked wonderful. The fit is nice, the instructions are clear, the light works nicely and most of the features work effortlessly. The problem I had, or should I stay STILL have, is the ridiculous degree of difficulty I've had in trying to attach the USB connecting wire to the watch itself in order to allow the watch to communicate with my computer. I suppose it's possible there might be something broken on my cable (they don't show you what it's supposed to look like), but my fat little fingers find it extremely difficult to snap the watch and cable together. I eventually got it to work, but it takes serious effort to get it to link up. Once it DOES link up, things run very smoothly. If you don't mind the ridiculous difficulty of the link-up, or you don't find it difficult, then this is a 5 star watch, ESPECIALLY for the price. If you're like me and don't feel like you should almost have to force the link and the watch, then it loses at least 1 star. It took me literally over a month to finally figure out how to link them up and that was excessive IMO. It would have even been 3 stars if it continued to be difficult even after you got it to link up the first time, but luckily after you force (yes... you feel almost as if you're going to break it) one of the connectors on the side to finally go all the way into its hole, it goes in far more easily every time thereafter, thus making it a 4 star instead of a 3 star watch. Again, however, if all you're worried about is the functionality of the programs, the storage space, the novelty, as well as the usual reliability of an IronMan, then this is as good as they get. Someone else mentioned it was a bit oversized but I don't find that to be at all true. For a watch with this much utility, it's astoundingly well sized. All in all this watch is an absolute steal for the money. |

this watch, is a heaven sent. honestly don't know how i ever got along with out it.
it's better than a secretary/ assistant at reminding me of appointments, keeping me on time ( the time reminder , with scrolling text feature, is really helpful in reminding me what its reminding me about.) helping me track how long till my laundry finishes. track my pool laps. keep handy phone numbers with me. Wake me up daily ( daily alarm, or by weekday. It's also water proof, in case you forget to take it of in the shower, or the pool.
the best part i fin is that i am not attached to using it solely while I'm around a computer, i can input the appointments in my self, by using the dial on the side of the watch. Although i do love using the computer, but not always able to get around it. Its great when someone mentions something on the spot they would like to do (get together).
the only thing about it, is there is not much choice about the arm band, they only produce it in two colors. neither one of them pretty. I think the utility of this device outweighs the lack of fashion statement. Besides you can always color it with nail polish, or something else that might stay permanently on.
do yourself a favor a buy this watch. it will be a life saver.

"Fantastic Watch/PDA, Mediocre Band" | 2009-08-23 |

This watch is as fantastic an organizational assistant as other people have claimed.
However, for people with small wrists the rubber band may not fit well. I purchased a Timex Expedition black Velcro band 16-20mm as a replacement. It fits on my wrist extremely well and is visually a perfect match for the watch. If you want the watch but are concerned about the rubber wrist band, buy the watch and then buy the velcro band (available at some sport watch retailers) if you find you need it.
Otherwise, again, an outstanding watch. |

I have had one of these watches for over three years, and it has been working great for me for all that time. It had finally started to get get sensitive to bumping the buttons, and the plastic was peeling, so I looked around and finally found one on Amazon.com. I believe they are a discontinued item, but if you need to have multiple alarms for medications and such, or work out and need timers and multiple lap counters, or just need a place to keep notes and appointments, this watch is just what you need.
On my first one, I had a problem with watch telling me that the battery needed replacing after less than a year, and after I replaced it, and it lasted three months, I looked online for a reason, and found out that there was a fix for it by downloading an update from the website. I did that and it never asked for another battery for two years.
Not sure if it will work with Vista or Windows 7 but it works well with mu XP |
