"finally I found earphones which I like" | 2007-05-14 |

| We all know how bad IPod earphones are. Considering the excellent quality of all Apple products, it is a shame that the earphones supplied w/ the 80G IPod is of such a poor design. After doing a long search for earphones which will stay in place during simple activities e.g. walking, I found these earphones on Amazon. They are absolutely wonderful. The quality of sound is excellent and they do a fairly decent job of noise reduction while you are in the airplane. I was about to buy more expensive Bose earbuds and I am glad that I did not, since I understand that Bose is recalling them. |

| Did I mention that these are amazing? I tried quite a few before I found these, and then I stopped. These have clarity and excellent sound staging. They also block out outside city and gym noise. The bass and treble is perfect and accurate. Songs sound the way they should sound. Not "enhanced". If you are looking for extra bass, look elsewhere. If you are looking for accurate, clean and studio quality sound then get these. They are amazing, and if I lost them I would get them again, or even try the next model up. |

| Love the fact that I cannot hear anything but my music during my commute, or during long plane rides. I love the new black cushions that they have in this set. Much softer than the silicone and the foam, and much easier to put in! |

"Excellent in-ear headphones" | 2007-05-12 |

| At first, I was skeptical because of all the complicated different earpieces. They come with six sets. I found the black rubber smallest size works the best for me, and it does help to loop the cord around the back of your ear and cinch up the piece that holds the two ear cords together. Once you get used to fitting them each time, it goes rather quickly, and the sound quality is fantastic. They're worth every penny, and they stay in while you are running as well. They also work well to block out ambient sound, though they are not noise-cancelling, officially. |

"Wow!" | 2007-05-02 |

I have owned/tried over 20 different pairs of earbud style headphones. Sony, Apple, Sennheiser, Creative, Phillips, HK, JVC, etc. The sound quality from these ranges from disgustingly bad to pretty good. The best were a pair of $12 Sonys. Good bass, decent highs. These Shure E2's are a whole nother level.
I had been looking at taking the next step in earbuds but I thought how good can a set be? And are they worth a $99 MSRP? Yes, yes they are. First of all. If you have not tried a noise canceling or reducing pair of headphones then you don't know what you are missing. It is similar to stepping into a sound proof room. Listening to music at a low level with these noise reducing earbuds turns people around you into mutes. You can't hear them talking. This is great. You will pick up sounds in your music you never knew were there. Incredible. This takes some time getting use to and this is not for every situation. Jogging through the city, etc. You want to be able to hear sirens, people yelling 'look out!', etc.
The sound is clear, crisp, and never fatiguing. The bass is good, but could be a tad better. You can adjust this with the eq in your player. I compaired these with some Ultimate Ears 5EB's and while the 5EB's had better bass response, the Shure's had a better sound stage and cleaner higher frequencies. I would choose the E2's in a hearbeat over the $199 prices Ultimate Ears.
One thing to note. These don't fit like ordinary earbuds. They sit deeper in your ear canal. Take some time to find to choose the best fitting end before you complain they don't fit. The small or medium foam ends seem to fit best with most people. Once you get use to putting these in-should only take a few times- you will be amazed at how much better these sound than any ear bud under $100. These destroy anything in their price range and even ones much more expensive. I would buy these for anyone who loves quality sounding music. |

"Best I've ever owned." | 2007-03-16 |

| I have an iPod. The white headphones suck...I'm sure most people have figured it out by now. A lot of people are opting for the over the ear DJ style headphones made by sony, bose, or sennheiser (sp?). I'm of the opinion that those aren't the most portable headphones...and sometimes considerations have to be made. So, in sticking with the small in ear buds, I tried out a pair of sony's priced at 50 or so. These sucked. While the sound quality was acceptable, they were very fragile. Next I got some E2c headphones from SURE. The sound is amazing from these little headphones. The customizable ear pieces give a variety of fit and comfort for every ear type. The great thing is that they seriously reduce outside noise, and those around you can't hear what you are jamming to, so you aren't annoying anyone. Because of this...you probably shouldn't use these while jogging or riding a bike because they cut you off from the outside world. |

"Great Headphones" | 2007-03-05 |

These headphones are great, they fit perfectly. Shure is a legendary brand of high quality headphones, and this set proves it. The sound quality is great and they are not hard to put in.
The E2s have a balanced sound and you can listen to any type of music and you get a very nice clarity. The music does not sound stale, it just sort of jumps out at you as if you were really in the recording studio with the artists.
One common misconception is that these headphones are hard to put in. Not true. All you have to do is find the right headphone top fit for you and then learn how to put them in. I learned how to put them in in 5 minutes. If the manual doesn't really help at all, then you can go to Shure's website, where they have a video showing how to put in the E2.
Note: On the shure website, you should look under the Shre E2c's. The Shure E2s are basically the same as the E2c's. I'm not sure why there is a different name on Amazon. |

"Great product... Even better warranty" | 2006-08-08 |

After having these for about six months of much abuse, the right ear cord started to come loose and I eventually lost all sound to it. I called up customer care and was told simply to send the earphones themselves in, nothing else, (box, plugs, etc.) I did that but didn't fill in a necessary form (found on website.) After about 2 weeks I called up and after informing them of what happened I was told it'd be in the mail that day. Just received it. Brand new box, plugs, etc. Well worth the money and the wait. As for the product, it's great. The truth is however, there is a break in period; not for the earphones, but your ears themselves. I thought a previous review was kidding when he said you need some time for scar tissue to develop. Essentially it becomes more comfortable and secure than regular earphones past this period though. Your music player is only as good as what it plays from; and, after using the stock phones for the two weeks of waiting, there is a distinct difference in the quality and feel. |

"No bass, ok sound isolation, but doesn't beat my old noise cancellation headphones" | 2006-08-02 |

| This definitely does not have full range. Some songs I listen to have very low base frequencies. I would have been fine if I could hear it, but it was quieter. That's what I was expecting. To my surprise, entire bass lines were completely absent from the songs when listened to through these E2s. And the sound isolation is something I'm new to. I've been using old AIWA noise cancellation headphones, which work better. Whether you want isolation or cancellation, my bet is that there's a much better product for the price, and I intend to find it. |

| I had a pair of these for about 2 years and used them constantly. I did end up abusing them a bit and had the busted one of the earbuds. I immediately purchased another pair, they're just that great! They block out more outside noise than most of those gigantic headphones, and they fit in you pocket! The audio quality of these earbuds is phenomenal and you'll notice you hear little details and nuances in the music that you had never noticed before. The price may be a little steep for some but if you really want high quality sound purchase these earbuds. |
