I originally got the game in 2006, but i lost the disks a few months ago, and they needed replacement. I love this 'game'. This isn't a game you just drive around in, you can do a lot of different things. You can recreate a famous flight, or just fly around areas with enhanced, breath-taking scenery. The game allows you to download planes, scenery, and other things. It's a very versatile game. I think it's fairly realistic, i mean, landing a plane in the game isn't as easy as it looks. You have to put a lot of effort in it. Pilots use the game for training, and people like me use the game for fun (but i'm good at it, lol). This is a very fun game, it is educational, in a way. There's not violence, or anything like that to worry about. This is appropriate for all ages. This is simply a great game! It's a lot of fun! I have Petals and a Yoke, which add to the fun. It's impossible to enjoy the game with a keyboard. In short, it's a great game! I also have FSX, and i can say in comparison, 2004 is a lot easier on your computer to run, and i personally think better.

I purchased FSX but the Pilot cant hold still long enought to set any guages LOL...
it was like trying to FLY sitting in a ROLLER COASTER...
have you ever wanted to change the radio station in your car , but couldnt because the MOUSE POINTER WOULD NOT STAY IN PLACE LONG ENOUGHT...

anybody need a almost NEW FSX?
with accelerator?
anyway FS2004 does not move the mouse pointer around and its a pleasurable flight sim.

I understand FS X is a huge step up from 2004 but you need a BIG engine to run the thing. I've been goofing around with FS since the beginning and 2004 is quite a good simulator and an alternative to X if you don't have the horsepower. I run the game on Vista and it works fine so far.
If I had any issue it is the lack of planes available to fly. There's tons of planes out there but the game misses a lot of them. Otherwise this game does what it's supposed to for me: be a stress reliever.

The option to fly historic flights and the details on the planes ( aging, etc.) is fantastic!!! Love it!
