Does exactly what it does! Was able to watch movies and share pictures from my laptop to the big screen. Very easy to use. You will just need to connect this from your macbookpro to an S-Cable to TV and Y-audio cables. Instant movies!

This came in as promised but I haven't been able to get it to work as I want, But this is I think due to the other cable. I wanted to go from my MacBook Alu to video and tried using 2 cables to do this. It didn't work.

This product works! Finally! I was trying to create a media center with an older G4 Mac Mini I got of craigs list. Paired with 2 1.5TB firewire hard drives, all I needed was a connection from the mini to to the TV. I first tried a DVI-to-Component adapter...No luck. No matter how I configured it, I would get squiggly lines. Then I got this little number. WOW. No configuring. No setup. Just plug it in and BOOM! It just works! Now at first, I didn't think that the picture would be sharp due to the conversion, but I was wrong. It's as clear as any picture you would get from a current high-grade DVD player. I'm totally satisfied.

Liked the product and in a handy size. Picture quality is great for the outputs it supports on a standard definition TV. Looks cool too. If you have an HDTV get a DVI->HDMI cable instead... as it's cheaper and has better quality.

Just bought this DVI to Video adapter at a nearby apple store. As with most Apple products, this worked seamlessly on my MacBook Pro. I am able to watch any video playing on my laptop with decent resolution on my old tube TV via s-video. Again, do not try to use this cord for anything other than this expressed purpose or you will be disappointed in the way your desktop/applications/etc... are displayed on your lower resolution TV monitor. If you have a higher resolution monitor, go the HDMI route.
As I've read in a couple reviews, I did encounter a loud audio "hum" of from electrical interference when connecting a 1/8"-to-A/V cord from the computer to the "phono" jack of my sony audio receiver. However, this was nearly completely eliminated simply by plugging the A/V cord into another input (e.g. MD/Tape, VCR, etc..). I have no idea why this works, but its worth trying.
