I have a Samsung LN46B750 which i recently purchased(Sept. 09), and I was dissapointed with the image quality i was getting through the component(analog) connection. HDMI connection looked great, but the cable box had issues with the HDMI connection. Anyway, I wanted to fix the issue with the component connection. I found out on the samsung website that the purple horizontal lines that could be seen scrolling up the screen was due to fluctuations in AC power lines that cause electromagnetic fiels that affect analog signals like the ones carried by the component cables. This happens mainly in old buildings with old power lines. I needed a surge protector anyway, and I saw this product and noticed that it reduces noise in power lines, I decided to give it shot. I plugged everything in, but the coaxial carrying the cable tv signal, at which point i noticed the purple lines weren't as visible anyomre, but i could still see them. Once I put the coaxial cable through the HTS800 and then into the cable box, all the purple lines were gone. It's amazing. I've been looking it at it for the past 20 minutes, and I can't see them. Trust me, I've been paying very close attention to those lines for a month already, and I know exactly where and how to look for them(like in dark scenes), but they i are completely gone. It's amazing. I can't say anything about sound, since i didn't test that, or surge protection, but it did solve my problem. I'm very satisfied with this product.

Bonus: The HTS800 helped me figure out the three prong outlets on the walls of my living room are not properly grounded which is necessary for it to work properly against power surges, and for the warranty to be valid. It warranties your equipment against power surges for up to 150K.

I've had one of these for over a year and just bought my second one. This is a great all around power supply. It only has Monster's (over-marketed) Clean Power Stage 1, so don't think your system will look and sound *noticeably* better than before. And, I have no idea why they're still including a VCR plug on this - I haven't owned one of those in 7 years. Aside from these minor quibbles, I'd buy it again for the same setup.

No problem thus far, appears to be doing the job as nothing has been fried yet. Have it in the garage powering various rechargeable tools. In Florida brownouts are a concern.

Had this now for quite a long time and it's still holding up. Can't really complain about it, plenty of plug inputs and the labels are nice. Outside of that it's probably a little more than I would spend on another power strip, but for my main entertainment center I figured "why not"
