I bought these headphones when I was going to be traveling on a smaller airline which I knew would be noisy. These did what they promised, cut out the buzzing sound from the plane but I was still able to hear people talking. They were light weight and easy to use. A great value for the price.

I bought my first pair of these and I only used them in airplanes & airports. They're great to have on the plane as the jet noise is reduced enough that you'll forget about it. I like the way the speakers will pivot 90 degrees to your ears so that you can quickly uncover an ear if you're asked a question. Other than that I found myself wishing I had a different pair. The wand-sensor has reversable clip but its too bulky and I never found a good way to run the cords.
I lost my first pair and had no intention of buying the same pair again, but before I could replace them I was given another pair as a gift. The 2nd pair was no better and I noticed the same annoying things I had with the first including a feedback that occurs during flight when when the plane begins to descend.
I'd rather spend more money on a better designed product.

These headphones are great for noise cancelling. I just wanted to warn people about the design. The battery pack is right in the middle of the cable so sitting at my desk I have to take the headphones off if I move my chair back at all. Sometimes I forget to do this and the pack falls off my desk, which has resulted in the clip for the batteries to break. Also, sometimes I'll get small electric shocks through the headphones. This hasn't happened with any other headphones that I've used.

I have owned this product for two months. Now, whenever I turn on active noise-canceling, I get a buzzy, staticky sound in the right channel, which totally defeats the purpose. I was happy with this product, but the fact that it glitched out after only two months is depressing.
I bought these because I was spending a lot of time on airplanes. After a longish trip I would always be tired. I thought it was a natural part of flying. Alcohol and (sometimes) sleep helped but just as often backfired with hangovers, crinked neck, etc. A friend told me that noise canceling head phones helped keep the exhaustion at bay. After reading reviews, I bought these.
What a revelation! It's true, the noise canceling aspect cuts the noise down incredibly. I had no idea how much ambient noise I'd been dealing with and all that noise energy does grind you down. I fell in love with these things until I lost them. I immediately replaced them with the PXC 300 model. That's an indication of how much I liked these. Sure, I switched to a newer model but that has more to do with what I could get from Amazon on that particular day.
I'm not an audiophile, so I won't write about highs, lows, sharpness, warmth and those other things that some reviewers think about.
I like these because they work, they didn't break, folded and stowed very conveniently, and made air travel just that little bit less miserable.

Very impressive technology. Super clear sound quality, I hardly notice that I have them on, even on an airplane, no engine sound or crying children to interfere with my enjoyment of your ipod. Very compact with a convenient travel case.
