I love my Graco snugride seat with this base but if you only have one base it takes too long to switch between vehicles. We spent the extra $40 and got a second base, one for each vehicle. Initial installation takes time but worth the wait. I have used this system now for 2 children and would highly recommend to anyone. We used this system in a Chevy full size extended cab pickup, Chyrysler Sebring and Chevy Trailblazer.

If you have a snugride infant seat and two cars, having the second base makes carting a baby around MUCH easier. This way my husband and I don't have to switch cars every time we switch baby care duties.

Great item for a grandparent to keep in their car in order to transport grandchild. Just put the car seat into the base and away you go. Don't forget the baby!
