... So why don't you marry it!? Okay I will! I will happily wed my new food processor, (though I'm sure that it is not yet legal in even one state to pledge matrimony to kitchen ware) and we will live a blissful life together. It will be hummus and fluffy omelets, cakes and muffins, salsa and nut butters, until that sad day when I shed this mortal coil, or until my Cuisinart DLC-10S Pro Classic 7 cup food processor fails to an unmendable degree. But given its sturdy construction and stalwart reputation I just cant visualize a scenario where a transitory, organic being such as myself would outlast an appliance of this caliber.
Ah such is the plight of real love; so strong yet so temporal.

I tend to put a lot of stress on my kitchen and all my tools and gadgets. This food processor is no exception.
I brewed up a six gallon batch of carrot wine this weekend that required me to slice up 25 pounds of carrots. I've done this work before by hand (hours of drudgery!) and with mandolin (better than a knife, but still awful) and other food processors. I raced through an incredibly large bag of carrots in short order.
I've pureed soups, made hummus, and shredded vegetables with this food processor, and I couldn't be happier with the results.
I've seen some reviews that had concern with the fragility of a one of the snap pieces- I'm bit concerned about it myself, but so far (knock of wood!) no problem.

I purchased this Cuisinart DLC-10S Pro Classic 7-Cup Food Processor for my wife. She previously had a larger Cuisinart Food Processor and since it is just the two of us it seemed prudent not to make such large servings, but I was concerned about the capability of a smaller unit. NOT to worry...this unit is great in every way, and she hasn't sacrificed any functionality. Gonna get one for my college-girl daughter, too!

I have had this food processor for almost 4 years. I have used it while in college, out of college and now in grad school. It saves so much time and allows me to cook even when I'm busy. I make bread, pie crust, salsa, guacamole, shred cheese, slice veggies and use it for numerous other things. I cook for 2 people - my husband and myself. I will probably want a larger one when we have kids someday, but it works great for the 2 of us, or even when I make larger quantities for parties. Every kitchen needs one of these. And - keep it out on your counter so you can use it everyday! If you put it away, you probably won't use it as much.

I had seen a RAW Foodist use this in a DVD I had purchased and she had only good things to say about it. I had bought one for my daughter and she loved it. I was feeling a need to replace my GE processor as I've had it for years. When I recieved my processor I watched the video (that came with it) right away. It was a Great help. I made a huge pan of scallop potatoes. I had them uniformly sliced in no time. My husband was even impressed. I liked that it didn't make the slices paper thin. The video showed tricks to getting even slices of everything including onions. It does a great job of pureeing foods for my grand daughter also. I feel it is worth every penny I paid for it. I absolutely love it. It does a wonderful job and is saving me a ton of time.
