For what it is, a PS1 game it's about as good as it gets on the ageing system. Player models are blocky but the game play is fluid and smooth.
The batting / Pitching interface is incredible. Very pinpoit.
Only gripe I had was pitching. It is really easy to strike batters out ( I mean ridiculously easy ) and starters can go 12 inning before they start to lose something off their pitches.
Other than that, if you keep in mind this is a playstation one game, it should deliver the baseball fix you need if you're still using your original playstation with the LCD screen like I am. |

| This review is for the PS1 version...Not sure why he's on the PS1 version of this but there's Bonds on here. It came out in late March and the rosters are a bit gaffed up but the gameplay that made this a better overall game playwise over Triple Play is still fun to knock around with, and I travel alot with my gig so this is the best baseball game I can play on my PS1 5" screen. The graphics that looked so great 5 years ago look pretty sad however. If you can get past them the control and playability are fantatic. If you have mlb 2004 though and don't care about a few more alternate jerseys and the inclusion of Petco Park and the Phillies new crib, you may consider just saving your money |

| Rosters aren't that great, and it is impossible to hit homeruns with guys that normally hit around 10-15 in real life. It's completely bogus, go for mvp baseball. Barry Bonds is also not in mine, and A-rod is still a Ranger. |

| That Barry Bonds is not in is because he is no longer liscensing his likeness through MLBPA. Sort of like Michael Jordan did and Lavar Arrington of the redskins is doing. |

| IM A HUGE BASEBALL FAN SO THE FIRST THING I DID WHEN I BOUGHT THIS GAME WAS LOOK AT THE ROSTERS. WHAT I MEAN BY HUH?? AS MY TITLE IS THAT BARRY BONDS IS NOT INCLUDED IN MLB 2005 FOR SOME REASON. IF SOMEBODY BUYS THIS GAME PLEASE TELL ME IF BARRY BONDS IS IN YOURS.ALSO, SINCE THIS GAME WASNT TYHAT NEW A-ROD IS STILL A RANGER. |
