this game unlike its predecessers has more than 3 options of who to be.frodo and the hobbitts can come too.and some others.the graphics are old school and so is the game play.a great deal of team work is required to beat this one.i dont really recall the scenes in this video game being in the lord of the rings movie trilogy either.maybe they were.this game just lacks some of the pizazz of the two towers video game.i beat it simply because i beat the first two already.now i know i am talking bad on it,but for any dedicated lord of the rings fan,it is a must!its a good game,there are just better out there.oh and for all you guys who think lotr is the best movie set ever.......STAR WARS F'N RULES!

Gave this as a gift and the kids still play them all the time. Im not a huge console game fan (I'm more of a PC FPS player) but my nephews love these and said to rate them four stars! I gave them the whole LOTR set along with the Hobbit.

This is one of the best games I have ever played. The gameplay is fantastic and the graphics are above average for the xbox. I am a huge LOTR fan, and this game satisfies my hunger for an orc-smashing good time. I strongly recommend this game for any action game or LOTR fan.

This game is very good overall. The attack system is simple attack and defend, but there are about 50 buyable moves with each character. All the levels, about 10 are really challenging. Also, there is co-op which doubles the fun. The graphics are great and the controls are easy. The gameplay is fun. The cutscenses and game music are also great. You should buy this game

Ok, THIS GAME ROCKS, realy sweet quick-hack-n-slash game-play, it bends the story line a little, like all of isingard is flooded by the time gandolf gets there in the book, but they change that in the game, it gives a good exuse for another fight though... the graphics: ok, like Aragorn and all the main guys are great looking with alot of detail, but the orcs are pretty bad, with allmost no color.
lots of fun as you learn to use combinations of buttons to make your attacks more lethal against hordes of beasts. After beating the game there are bonus missions where the only goal is to kill as many enemies as possible.
