This game is great! Lots of fun for the whole family. It allows us to spend time together laughing and enjoying quality time as a family. This game is an excellent idea, and the two different roles are also creative. It's fun playing a Mario Kart title in which you're not always versing Player 2. You actually get to team up and choose a kart based on your size. You're even able to switch roles with your partner during the race, just plan before you do it, or else you'll lose your place. This game can get VERY challenging at times, but that's only when you change the engine size to the max. This Mario Kart can show two people a very fun time.

This one took me a little more getting used to that other Mario Kart games (balancing the two drivers with the karts to get a good combination mainly, since you get different attributes with each character as well as each kart... then I had to get a handle on the various special weapons) but once I got the hang of it, I was totally addicted. Now you won't find a get together of siblings and cousins without this game...!

One of my favorite things about this game, more than other Mario Kart games is that if you are in first place, you can still get good items. I know it evens things out to handicap the lead player, but to be honest, it makes the game more fun than if you know that all you're ever gonna get is bananas until you cross the finish line.

Battle mode is also great fun-- for me, that is where the secondary driver really adds to the gameplay. For some reason, it also evens things out... especially important when one sibling is especially good compared to everyone else! But having one person driving and another gunning creates a really fun (and intense!) game.

As usual with Mario Kart, there are plenty of things to unlock, so get to it!
