I'm pleased with the sound for the price. Sound seems clear and crisp, and I've only had them a few weeks. Performance should improve somewhat with time. Noise reduction is good. In fact, I've fallen asleep with them on several times and had deep naps! A primary reason the noise reduction is so good is that these phones sit very tightly against your head. For this type of over-the-ear phone I have not found this tight fit uncomfortable, despite what a couple of reviewers said. I will use these primarily during air travel or sitting around while the family is watching TV, so good noise reduction and low noise escape were priorities for me. I'm traveling to Asia soon and will found out how comfortable they are over a long period of time. I looked at some Bose headphones for a similar price, but they appeared to be cheaply made. I use the Sennheisers primarily with my iPod and computer, and the sound is loud enough--just barely, but loud enough (I like most music loud).
I was not happy with the condition in which they arrived--it looked as if a mutt carried them in his teeth cross-country--but the phones were not damaged. Delivery was amazingly fast (maybe the delivery mutt was a greyhound?).

Needed these for work. I have tried many, many different types of headphones and different brands. These were recommended by a musician. They are amazing and more. Makes a HUGE difference. I have a small complaint. I have a small head and they are still tight. Normally this is a plus because it is inconvenient when the headphones keep slipping off (like all other brands on me), these do not; but i wear them for 18-20 hours in a day, and sometimes the squeeze is a bit much... but normally they are perfect... just noticable at the end of really long days.

It does a nice job at noise reduction by virtually canceling out any sound. The padding fits well around the head, although the pair make for something like ear muffs if kept on too long. The design is great because it can be rolled up and stored in three different manners. A great pair to go with. I accidentally sat on the head phones and a connection cracked (hence the 4/5 for durability)...but it comes with a 2 year optional warranty which is neat.

My best headphone purchase ever. No in-ear headphones or high end speakers I have ever had have been able to produce the sound quality I have achieved form these headphones. A great purchase for under $100 that I would make 5 times over. Quality is amazing sound quality is unsurpassed. If you spend an equivalent amount of money on another pair of headphones you are getting ripped off. The only downside of these is their bulky size. Other than that, they are the best headphone purchase I have ever made and I highly recommend you make the same purchase as well. I have owned this pair for over 4 years and I am still as amazed now with the sound quality as I was the day i bought them.
I am not a expert in audio. I just wanted a decent pair of headphones for my iPod without spending a lot of money. For that purpose, these headphone are almost perfect. They have great sound, comparable to several of the much more expensive brands I tested. The only complaint I have is that they are a little bulky and not quite as comfortable as some of the other headphones I tried on. It's a minor issue but the reason I gave it a 4 star rating. Overall, these headphones are a good value for the price and I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Hi! This is the second pair of these headphones to come to our family. They are so popular with the older kids who are trying to study and need to block out things like noisy roommates, etc. When my college student accidently left his at home, my high school student appropriated them, so I just ordered him another pair. Now they can both concentrate better on their work while enjoying their own choice of music. Really just the best!
