"Good value and sound" | 2009-11-13 |

| I picked these headphones up last month when I tired of adjusting my earbuds all the time. They are collapsible, lightweight and comfortable. The sound is good coming from my ipod. Folding them right so they fit in the hard case takes some practice, but no more crushed headphones! They may be old-school, but they work for me. |

"Excelent sound quality for the price" | 2009-11-11 |

All mp3 or media players come with awefull headphones, this cans is like a madatory replacement for all mp3/cell-phones headphones.
Sound quiality is geat, but in noisy ambients like city traffic or gym you have to pump it to highger levels, and thee is no isolation at all.
The construcction of thist babys is solid, don't feel cheap at all, but because of the folding system the cables tend to twist and sometimes i think it can broken.
These are very confortable to use, at least you are a glass guy, like me, in that case you will fell a little pain in your ears for mediun time using it.
I bough the white version of this, but the earbuds get dirty very easy, so after a year of use, i bouth the black version.
Next step in quality sound for me, the AKG 81dj.

"Poor bass, uncomfortable after an hour or so" | 2009-11-11 |
| - Reviewed By jnegron6 |
I've had these headphones for about a week and a half, long enough to give a fair judgement. I've used them for at least four hours daily during that time.
These headphones do not handle bass well at all. Anything bass-heavy (such as Nirvana's Nevermind) sounds distorted, regardless of the volume. The higher frequencies are acceptable, but with much classical music the higher frequencies sound "muddy".
Note that I'm comparing these to my old Sennheiser HD-580s (purchased for ~$200 ten years ago), but the difference is very noticeable. I don't think you have to be an audiophile to notice (and be bothered by) the difference.
Regarding comfort, they feel fine for the first hour or so, but eventually my ear cartilage starts to feel sore. After about two hours I have to take them off for a while.
The Y-shaped cord is about four feet long, which I find sufficient. However, I prefer an L-shaped plug.

"Comparison - PX 100s vs AKG k26p headphones" | 2009-11-10 |

I recently received a pair of PX 100's from amazon to replace a pair of AKG k26p headphones I bought 3 years ago. I LOVED the k26ps but unfortunately they have been replaced by the k27ps which look very similar. But i decided to buy the sennheisers to compare two great portable headphones from a similar category. Hopefully this helps other people decide.
Sennheiser px100
The Good
1. VERY crisp clear sound in all ranges.
2. Bass is plentiful (some people complain, I think the bass comes through great)
3. Well constructed, light weight, very comfortable.
The bad
1. No sound isolation. not great for quiet places like the library, or very loud places.
AKG k26i
The Good
1. Very comfortable once broken in. (Tight at first, but you can loosen them up by stretching over a basketball for a couple nights.)
2. TREMENDOUS bass for such little headphones.
3. Quality construction - things lasted THREE years under HEAVY use! (even sometimes in the rain)
4. Sound isolation works well. I used these at the library a lot. Doesn't block out all sound, but you won't bother other people.
The Bad
1. Headphones tend to creak a bit when you move. Annoying at first but didn't bother me for long i stopped noticing it.
2. compared to the px100s mid range sound can be a bit mushy. (still a league above most others)
I hope this review can help other people decide. Both headphones have their positives and negatives but over all both are excellent. Bottom line is if you really want some blast your head off bass, good sound quality and sound isolation get the AKGs. If you don't need sound isolation and want GREAT overall sound quality get the px100s

"Strong bass sound, otherwise balanced and soft" | 2009-11-06 |
| - Reviewed By User: A3932X322V6PJ5 |
| I purchased this product for replacing the regular earbuds that came with my iPod. The sound in Sennheiser PX100 is of a better quality overall but there is just too much bass. As I have accustomed to a more balanced sound in that respect, this quickly draws my attention and disturbs the listening experience somewhat. If I turn on the treble booster in the iPod EQ, there is easily a shrieking/crackling effect with high or loud sounds. If I turn on the bass reducer of the EQ, the sound becomes somewhat better, but the bass is muffled perhaps too much. I have quickly turned back to using the regular iPod earbuds as I like that sound better, overall, and plan to stick with them for the time being, but this doesn't take away from the fact that the PX100 has an otherwise good and balanced sound. It is also a bit soft or mellow if you're looking for something with a bit more 'edge' or crispiness. The sound is never 'muddy', however, but all sounds can be distinguished clearly and naturally. I would be very happy with it if it was not for the emphasized bass effect that it delivers. |

"My husband loves these!" | 2009-11-02 |

| My husband's only request for his birthday was good, travel headphones (NOT earbuds!!) that he could use with his iPod. I went on customer reviews only, because I was not familiar with this brand. Long story short- he loves them, thinks I'm a genius for finding them, doesn't know how he's lived without them! It took him a little practice to get them folded back into their case, but now it's a snap for him and he carries them everywhere. I highly recommend these for anyone who can't use earbuds comfortably AND who want the best, clearest quality from their iPods! |
