"Great Fun!!!"

Just played this game for the first time last night, and had a lot of fun! Of course, it helps that our group kept coming up with Broadway and Disney selections, and we covered a wide range of styles and decades. One thing I will recommend: don't be afraid to use the timer! The only downside is that if you get a group with a lot of musical knowledge the game could go on for a long time, UNLESS you use the timer, which is explained in the rules. Great game for a party!

This is a great game for 9 and 10 year olds, although some of the words may be on the inappropriate side for them, and at their age, they're starting to enjoy making up inappropriate songs. Don't want to stunt their creativity, but if grown-ups are playing along, it could be good teaching moment.
"Much better than the older versions!"

I had the version of this game before it and like it...but felt like it was lacking.
And this version fixed that! It now has a board instead of a notepad, pieces, and it is easier to see the final goal and see how you are doing.
It is a really fun game to play with friends and family. Even if they aren't music buffs they will enjoy it!
My favorite thing is that you can repeat cards in different games unlike so many games that are over once you have done all the cards. It works multiple times because you never know what songs you will think of!
Overall it is a great game!

This is a fun game! If you are looking for a game that ANYBODY can play, this is the one. You won't be disappointed. The only negative thing that I can say is that once you start, its hard to end the game! Enjoy!
"Game better than the new design"

I was introduced to this game in the late 1980's, when it was manufactured by Parker Bros. It's definitely more fun with teens to adults -- little kids just don't seem to get it, and they have no repertoire of songs to draw from. The rules are simple, the play easy to do, and the questions can be very challenging. With the right players, it's as much fun as you can have.
My complaint -- and it's a big one -- is that the game has been redesigned, and not redesigned well. The Parker Bros. game board looked like a piece of sheet music, with game play moving along the measures -- it was a very clever design, keeping with the musical theme of the game. The new board looks like a series of jewels, which makes no sense -- it looks like it was designed on a computer (it probably was) and is very generic. (Imagine if they redesigned the Monopoly board to be bright jeweled squares with none of the cartooons -- except maybe the Monopoly guy was now a robot. That's kinda what we've got here). It's very generic looking, and could be almost any game. We have no idea this is a music-based game looking at the new board.
In sum: it's a great game, but the redesign is disapponting and unnecessary, and really detracts from the enjoyment of the game.
