"Now be a Covenant Elite!" | 2009-05-03 |

Halo returns with even better graphics, characters and terrain. Explore even more landscapes, hunt down Prophets (leaders of the Covenant) and master any weapon that is put before you.
I was very much pleased with Halo 2. The graphics are better than Halo 1! More weapons mean more things you can wield and use against the enemy. Hop in awesome vehicles such as the Scorpion (a heavily armed tank) the Warthog (a unique vehicle that can carry a machine gun or blaster cannon), the Wraith, (the Covenants' tank), the Ghost, (a very effective speeder) and more. There are too many vehicles to name that you can drive/fly. Another plus to this game: You can now be a Covenant Elite, the Sangheili! A humiliated ranking officer that was stripped of his rank and made to go on a mission to kill the parasite (creepy looking guys), but he learns that the Covenants `Great Journey' is a lie, and starts civil war within the Covenant. Long story, so I'll let you discover new weapons, vehicles, characters, twist and turns and more in this game as you fight for your life!
Cheats--The Needler is an awesome weapon, if you hold down the trigger, many needlers will fly towards the enemy, and if you fire enough, they will explode on impact. If you hold the Plasma Pistol down, it will form a powerful plasma `bullet'. The Lekgolo (BIG, porcupine looking guys) are extremely tough foes, but there is a weak spot to them! Their one (and only) weak spot is their mid-sectiont! It glows from their side to their back, a sniper bullet (2 at most) will extinguish the threat. When battling the Parasite, use the shotgun against the little spider looking guys, and the machineguns against the two legged parasite. |

"The Definative Game for the Xbox" | 2009-02-12 |

Halo 2 is the flagship game for the Xbox, a title that it deserves. While not the instant classic that was its predecessor, Halo 2 has it where it counts.
The new gameplay mechanics in Halo 2 are quite interesting, if not as fluid and addictive as the first Halo. However, the increased dynamics of the campaign and multiplayer make up for it.
Speaking of the campaign, it's back and better than ever. About an hour longer than the Halo: Combat Evolved, the Halo 2 campaign is as dynamic and innovative as they come.
The multiplayer component of this game is a vast improvement over an already excellent system from the first Halo. The Xbox Live matchmaking and the new maps are great, but the gametype customization has been taken to a whole new level. If you want to host some great LANs, this is the game for you.
The other parts of the game (soundtrack, graphics, story) are on par with the first Halo, though inconsistent in some areas. For example, I found the soundtrack to be an awkward mix of riveting anthems and catchy pop... not exactly what I think makes the best score for an epic game. Also, the pop-in graphics are irritating and unstable. It's maddening to watch each level load piece-by-piece (if it finishes loading at all). However, this doesn't do a whole lot to take away from the overall presentation, which is why I can still give Halo 2 five stars. |

"Amazing, action packed game" | 2008-08-25 |

| Well, here, in 2008, this game really isn't remembered/played much. WELL! I don't have an Xbox 360...I used to, but I turned it in. Now I regret that...but I didn't have a hard drive or xbox live...so it was boring. ANYWAYS! Halo 2 (from my experience and from everyone I know) is WAY better than Halo 3. Halo 3 is an OK game, but it was disapointing in every way. Halo 2 on the other hand isn't. The glitches in this game are so much fun-super jumping, escaping multiplayer/campaign levels...they're great. They took that out in Halo 3. The campaign in this game isn't the greatest, but for some reason I never get bored of beating it. I do agree they needed to add bots, but it's still a great game. I'm not one for graphics but the graphics are pretty good. Halo 2 is my second favorite game in the world. My first favorite is Gears of War...which will soon be Gears of War 2 (OH YEAH!) Halo 2 limited edition just comes with a bonus DVD explaining the creation of the game...which I find it very interesting. And the other plus is the silver, metal box. It's not that big of a deal, but I'd spend that extra money on it. The Halo 2 map pack comes with some sweet new multiplayer levels, E3 trailer, regular Halo E3 movie, a Hunter and Grunt sound check (supposively hysterical) and a few other things. The dual weild is pretty sweet. I don't have a regular Xbox anymore, which I am soon to get one specifically for this game! If you get a 360, DO NOT GET HALO 3! HALO 3=LAME! GET GEARS OF WAR AND OBLIVION AND BIOSHOCK! But I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GAME! It's the greates first person shooter out there in the gaming world, and it definetley made it's mark, if not more, in the history of gaming. It is new (well...not now haha) and fresh (like I said, now it's not) and it is very fun, never gets old, and it woops Halo 3's butt! |
