The book is specifically written for women, I am a little disappointed in the attitude of the aerobics instructor author, but the information is generally good and teh book is well produced.

The book is very informative and the workouts from the two videos are excellent and not boring at all. The time goes by so fast you do not realize that you have walked three miles.

I received this book in a timely manner and exactly as described. I would purchase something from this business again.
This book has been a wonderful motivator for me. I started my own walking program and am now walking about 4 miles a day thanks to Sansone's advice. It is great not only for exercise, but for that little bit of "me" time that we all need.
Leslie is peppy and enthusiastic, but this DVD has the appearance of a first take that ended up as the final product, despite numerous mistakes and flaws. Near the beginning she says to start "from this side" but then contradicts herself and says "any leg is right." Once she says, "Then walk" while still doing knee lifts so corrects herself and says "Just four more knee lifts and then we go back to walking." While side-stepping something falls off her left foot or left pant leg and sticks to the bottom of her right shoe, where it stays for the rest of the DVD. She says that exercise is "better than a coffee break" but then amends that and says, "It's okay to have a little coffee." Near the end she says "you gotta break a little sweat to have good health" but quickly adds that you don't have to have "a big sweaty walk" all the time. So, do you need to break a sweat for good health or not? She also mentions what sounds like "circlatory" (sic) system. Several times she is looking at the wrong camera as she's talking. There is an inset that shows her kicking when shse is otherwise walking. She looks like she's talking but you don't hear the corresponding audio. The DVD does give a good beginning one-mile workout, but you need to do more of a cool down on your own.

I got this book and read through most of it before even starting on my first Leslie Sansone DVD and this book was a life-changer for me. So simple, great common-sense advice and a very positive tone throughout the book and even the small section on nutrition was all it took to get me to start thinking about the food I put in my body and start eating healthier. I love how Leslie always says, "go at your own pace" and in her nutrition section, she repeats, "I am not telling you what to eat" and so forth. All of the sections are very helpful, easy to read through and make so much sense. I just LOVE this book and I highly recommend it for those new to the Leslie Sansone walk series. The 6 week initial walk program is all spelled out for you and my husband and I both fell in love with it on Day 1. We have lost weight, feel more toned and strong and our moods and outlook are super! Thanks Leslie!!
