I bought this text for use in a college English class. I truly enjoyed it so much that I decided to keep it after the class was over. It contains a wonderful compliation of different types of literature - lots of classics. Really gives the reader the ability to understand good literature and an appreciation for the abilities of a good author!

This book was necessary for Comp.2. There is a large variety of different types and styles of literary works. This seem to allow the professors a wide lattitude in choosing works that they feel are most appropriate for the lesson that they wish to convey. There seems to be a large range in what works are chosen from this book for further analysis. The other students that I have asked about this course and book all used different selections from this book.
