"Not as good as the seconed one." | 2009-07-08 |

| This is the first one to come out and i like the seconed one allot better. First of all the graphics r not good and the sound is scatchy. Like other star wars games it is hard and confusing and since the graphics r bad it makes it glitch up really bad. Sometimes the game freezes so u have to restart the game all over again because u did not get to save. Like the newer one the quick battle is sort of fun but not as good as the newer one I like to play it on multiplayer because it gives u someone to talk to and actually have a challenge to beat. This would be a great game if the graphics were not so bad and if it was not as hard. |

I love the game- but I'm not gonna lie, I know people who don't. Very Few People. A lot of ways to play each level- make the Rebels win the battle of Hoth, make the Republic lose the battle of Geonosis. Choose between Empire, Rebels, CIS(Droids) and the Republic. Each Side has Four Units, plus one limited to that faction. (Republic has Jet Trooper ex.) Galactic conquest- Choose an Era- Choose a Faction- Choose a Planet to attack. Historical mode let's you be the Trade Federation in the battle of Naboo ex. One mode for each era.
But Compared to the sequel, this one has it's Dark Side.
Controls are different, not allowing you to sprint- but letting you lay flat on the ground with two taps of the O botton. (If it's on a Playstation 2) No limit to how many of one unit you can have in the field. ( These things can be good or bad. About unit limit, it can be frustrating- to say the least- when you, a clone trooper in the wide open plains of Geonosis, have four or five Droideka's (rolly droids, destroyer droids) unfold on you and put on their shields. But then put yourself in the Droideka's place- Really Cool.
Lack a sixth unit that the second one has.
No space battles. :(
Historical campain- not like Rise Of the Empire at all- no objectives, just normal play.
All in all, it's a bit harder than number two.- so for those of you just getting on the BF Express- Get the second one (Perferably on X-Box, ya get four players, which is not on the first). For those who liked the second one so much you want to get the first, Wait 'till your at least close to getting all the medals on Legendary- then buy it. Oh ya, you should know that there's ships in ground levels too. (X wing, Y wing, Rebels- Jedi Starfighter, LAAT Gunship, Republic ex.) |

| After reading many glowing reviews about this game, I decided to pick it up. Whoa. What a mistake. FRAME RATE!!!!! It's absolutely terrible in this game. Characters jump across the screen rather than move smoothly. This makes the game all but unplayable for me. So much potential here, if only they'd have made it like a PS2 game should be made, instead of the choppy frame rates of PS1 times. |

| Playing this game made me want to watch the films, rather than continue with the game. I don't have internet access at home, hence no ability to play the multiplayer section, so that may explain why I didn't cotton to it. From the single player perceptive, this game would have been great fun if it played more like Call of Duty. Battlefront doesn't have characters with any depth at all. You don't feel like you're part of anything. Battles last only a few minutes -- sometimes, as I ran to the front the battle ended before I even fired a shot. Fix these items in future games, and it may be captivating. On the good side, it has the Star Wars feel, and you can play both the rebel and imperial sides. Lots of weapons, vehicles, etc. I'm new at playing this kind of game and had a hard time making certain features work properly. If you're interested in this game, I suggest buying it used. |

In a Galaxy far, far away...the battle between the light and the dark side continues.
Star Wars: Battlefront brings the adventure together in a spectacular first person shooter, choose your planet and let the battle begin.
Star Wars Battlefront lets you choose between the Empire, Rebellion, Trade Federation or the Clone Army. If you're a Halo fan this game could be for you, like any first person shooter you can only have so much fun playing against the A.I., and this is definitely a multiplayer game. You can fight up to sixteen players in massive online battles. Battlefront is available on the PC, XBOX and the PS2.
On a rating scale of 1-5, I'll give this game a 4. And may the force be with you! |
