Cons: Only 1/3rd of the series, music is awful (sounds like Sega Genesis), character interaction is bizarre and lifeless, awkward voice acting, long loading times, uneven difficulty, irritating battle system, poor character designs, tedious and and unsatisfying sidequests
Other thoughts: This game is pretty bad - a step down in nearly every way from the first game. If you enjoyed Episode I and want to see the series out, you should note that Episode III is the best in the series. Unfortunately, in order to fully appreciate Episode III and get the most satisfaction from the series, you will probably have to play this. I think it's worth it, but consider this a warning.

I would like to start off with the good things about the game. (which I still have not had the heart to beat). The story is very good. Very deep plot with epic twists and crazy characters. Graphic are amazing!!! New character models were unneeded but I'll take it. Music lacked a bit but not going to cry. Combat.....WTF XENOSAGA!
Had to start a pharagraph for this one. This game is so fustration when you have 6-7 minutes fights that you cannot avoid. The whole "stocking up" before you can do damage is just not fun. Not to mention the endless one liners during the fight. MOMO's "grant me a miracle" had me wishing for a miracle. All things aside who play tested the games and said that the combat was ok? WOW! anyway I still have not completed the game and I plan on it just needed to get that off my chest.

Xenosaga Episode II
i played the first game in this series and i fell in love with it, no real complaints, except i am still trying to figure out why Namco/Bandai gyped us out of at least 3 more games and ended it way to early. i will recommend it to anyone.

When I Read The Reviews When Buying This Game I Was Worried That It Was Gonna Take A While To Finish This Game Because People Really Exaggerated On The Battles, Its Ten Minutes Per Enemy Encounter And With Millions Of HP And With You Only Doing A Couple Hundred Damage? Sure The Enemy Battles Are A LITTLE Longer Then Most Other RPG Games But I Usually Finished In 30secs To A Min. The Load Times Aren't That Bad I've Had The Same PS2 For 7 Years And The Battles Always Load Between 10 Secs. The Battles Are All About Utilizing Your Enemies Weak Points, Its A Different Battle System Then Most But I Enjoyed It, It Requires You To Use your Noggin. But If You've Just Been Introduced To The Game I Would Suggest Getting Or Playing The 1st Game First. The Story Is Great And You Would Probably Be Confused If You Didn't Play The First. The Reason It Got 4 Stars Was The Remake Of Some Of The Old Models And Voice Acting A Perfect Example Would Be Kos-Mos. Overall It Was A Good Game Don't Let The Bad Reviews Fool You. There's Also A Third One Which Is The Best Of The Whole Trilogy

Xenosaga PS2 Trilogy Episode I + II + III (All Original Black Label) I selected all three games as they are a total series. I have all three and the guide books gotten via Amazon. This is a game enthusiast series. The story is very entrancing. Playing the game is a great deal more fun with the instruction books. Getting the unopened book #2 is best as a cd comes with it. It is an incredible series to challenge.
