I bought this after a friend gave me some for an oil burn before I could get to the doctor. The doctor was even impressed with how soothing it was. I will always have some in my house!

I love petro carbo salve. My grandmother used it and my mother grew up using it. In fact she still has the white and red tin. It still has some in it. I'm moving out on my own for college and I just had to get my own tin. I use it on ingrown hair. Put some on put on a badage leave on all day and the ingrown hair pops right up. If it doesn't repeat the next day. Garanteed.

"Watkins Petro-Carbo Salve - 4.6 oz"

Have used this product for years. Would not use anything else for cuts, sores, wounds of any kind. Also used it for extremely dry skin on my hands, that was split and bleeding. I put some of this on a gauze pad and left it overnight. By the next morning the split skin was no longer dry, cracked or bleeding and almost completely healed. Wonderful product, well worth the cost!

FUNGUS INFECTIONS. DRY SKIN. DAMAGED SKIN. RIFLE GREASE. YOU CAN'T GET CARBOLATED VASELINE ANY MORE. ANOTHER VICTIM OF WAL-MART I GUESS. BUT YOU CAN GET THIS WONDERFUL PRODUCT! I HAVE THREE CANS NOW. GET IT. YOU WILL LIKE IT. IT'S CHEAPER THAN OTHER PRODUCTS THAT DON'T WORK.
AS FOR THE RIFLE GREASE; I HAD A JAR OF CARBOLATED VASELINE WITH ME IN VIET-NAM. I USED IT BETWEEN MY TOES AND I PUT SOME ON THE CHARGING HANDLE OF MY M-14! PETRO CARBO IS SAME SAME. STOPS JUNGLE ROT TOO...
"Dig for Splinters NO More"

This is the only drawing salve I use. I have had it pull out all kinds of splinters (wood, metal, glass...) and wound crud over the years. Cover the splinter entry area with some salve and a bandaid. Remove bandaid in half an hour to an hour (you might need longer for deep splinters) and you'll be good. It's also excellent on burns.
