My husband and I really liked this book. It was informative and respectful toward the subject. Very good for those who value intimacy in their relationship, but enjoying keeping it private from their friends. Lou Paget has many other books we own: How to give Him Ultimate Pleasure, as well as a Hot Mamma Book (about keeping intimacy alive during pregnancy). She is a great author.

The techniques for pleasing a man in this book are very explicit, and I for one appreciate that. A lot of esoteric language about communicating and getting in touch with our feelings is not exactly what I was looking for. I think it's great that women want to give their man a mind-blowing time in bed. In fact, the best thing about that is it makes him more willing to reciprocate. If he isn't willing, then perhaps it's time for us ladies to take responsibility for our own sexual happiness. Try reading Five Minutes to Orgasm Every Time You Make Love: Female Orgasm Made Simple, and become responsible for your own orgasm. These two books together will make for a great coupling. Even better, add this book to the mix, and you will be spending the rest of your lives in bed together: The Sensuous Couple's (Flip Over) Guide to Seismic Oral Sex!

In my not-too-distant past I peddled adult novelties. I've sold books such as this as well as having read my fair share, if only to offer ideas to frustrated housewives and girlfriends alike. After receiving this book, I got through the preliminary chapters quickly enough and did end up learning a few things from the later chapters, but nothing too earth-shattering. That being said, if I were purchasing my first or second book for sex advice, this would definitely be in the running. Ultimately, if you're looking for new, different, and exciting, this might not be the book for you ... but if you want good, solid guidance beyond the basics, this is a great option for you.

This book is definitely one of the best books I've read for those who want to improve their relationships. It's not only a book about how to do things, step by step & with pictures, it also gives you a perspective that you don't expect. This book is for those of us who aren't experts in the bedroom or want to add variety in their sex life. I would recommend it to women everywhere.

Lou Paget's guide has been one of the best purchases that I've ever made.I am endlessly interested in sex as a subject to be understood (and practiced!)as a whole, and have read quite a few books about it. But Lou's style of writing and her very well-detailed techniques certainly delivered. In the first couple of chapters, Lou points out many of the hang-ups that women tend to have about sex, and some of the myths we tend to believe about men. Always drawing from her long experience in seminars, she gives tips about the importance of having a healthy attitude about sex, what men really want in a sexual encounter (for you to be "totally into it"!)and a long discussion about how to "reignite" the passion in your relationship. While the "meat" of the book is definitely in the techniques, Lou's constant insights into the male mind appealed to me. As pointed out by other reviewers, the chapter on hand jobs alone is worth the price of the book. The descriptions and drawings are so detailed, that even someone who's not used to giving them on a regular basis can master the techniques. But, even for those of us who have long discovered the impact that a well-done hand job can have on a man, Lou's techniques are unbeatable. The "Ode to Bryan" is only a second favorite to the "Hand Cross"...I had always considered myself pretty handy (!), but would never have thought of twisting and turning my hands (yes, hands - for every technique, you use both hands! You can imagine the effects...) in and out of the positions that Lou suggests. I have tried each and every one of the 21 techniques and my husband has raved about them all! And then, there were the oral techniques. I thought it was interesting that she spent a lot of time speaking to women who dislike it, although I definitely could not relate! What was remarkable about Lou's approach is that she was never judgmental, but always encouraging in leading the reader to try new things. I personally did not get that much from this chapter, but this may be because it has been a personal topic of research for me, for years. For women who are apprehensive about their skills, Lou explains each step separately, and how to bring them together, especially with some of the hand techniques thrown in for good measure. If there is one book about sexual technique that I would buy before any other, this is it. Clear, concise, but still detailed and fun to read. And, every technique is not only sure to please, but to mesmerize.

This is a great informational book. It gives basic information and drawings of the suggested actions of both hand-jobs and oral, but it doesn't talk down to the reader and isn't too technical.
