I wanted to comment on the book, and I apologize to all concerned parties for being somewhat unfair, as I have not read the entire work.

Nevertheless, I need to warn on an important issue. Many people who have problems finding, sustaining and exercising their seduction power run into important psychological dilemmas. These are due to chronic loneliness, chronic fatigue, bitterness, and long-held anger, among other complicated factors.

My warning comes on these lines: If you have low self-esteem, anger issues, are used to being lonely (and this is not uncommon for the straight-A student who once held such academic glory or for the dedicated capitalist employee trying to strike it big) reading any book won't solve the problem of this lack of power.

What I mean is that we are so used to being ourselves, that it is difficult to break-off patterns. People we deal with or avoid on a daily basis are used to seeing us the way we behave ourselves. As one of the chapters well put it, they "unconsciuosly sense our (awkardness)" so to speak. I'm not saying these patterns cannot be broken but do expect years or decades before doing so.

This is one of the reasons many people who write about power in the world and in seduction, as being a part of our nature where we seek such power to meet very specific and basic needs on many levels, claim that it is by far one of the most difficult things a human being can accomplish. I'm not speaking of finding someone and sleeping with them or marrying them or staying in a relationship if that's what you want. I'm speaking of true power where you get the persons you REALLY want, you REALLY like, you REALLY relate to and in those instances where you don't get the target you get the need and the attraction of the target off your chest. That is, to gain this power of seduction is to be OK on most levels with oneself, and this becomes difficult because most people had bad childhoods inherited by parents who also had bad childhoods and so forth, and all this occured on a subconscious level.

This is just an opinion of mine and a warning of not spending your hard earned money on something you won't be reading but for entertainment. If it's entertainment you want, buy the book, but don't delude yourself into thinking this power will come easy. It will take commitment and years of self-discovery, self-knowledge, self-healing for most of us.

Was this a workbook at the Charles Manson's School of Seduction? Was the original title 'How to Sell your Soul, Become a Real Jerk and Bring Your Own Destruction In Ten Evil Steps'?

This book has all you guys of low self esteem thinking that you got something good, some power that you never could find before, the inside information on how you could finally be somebody. Well, don't look now but you have been duped, and this bad deal affects way too many. The author's pen name should be U.B. Mesmerized because you are and he's rich from doing to you what he tells you to do to others. He found your weakness,used you for his gain, enticed you, sold you lies and put you on a path further away from the power you already possess. What a cheap trick.

The reviewer who wrote that his date saw this book in his apt. and had the sense to remove herself from, for all she knew, the clutches of unholy masked man, Monster Gameplaya of Narcissy [He walks, he talks, he crawls on his belly like a reptile], let a great girl get away. Too bad that book told her that he was probably incapable of love yet very capable of taking her, himself and society down a few pegs. She wanted to move forward on the high road. She moved on alright. Quickly. More than likely she had been down Chicanery Road to Chaos Street before or had once lost pieces of herself near the corner of Self Doubt and Confusion. Too bad he lost her.

No doubt, I pontificate. Just lets be careful what we fall for, insecure people, because this bill of goods carries some bad ju-ju. Some things sometime just aren't good at all.

I would bet that the dude who wrote this book has gotten laid very little in his life. If you just want a history lesson on seduction, this is a good book, but if you want to actually know how to meet women and get laid, this book sucks.

I wonder if Greene is a psychologist.

It's impresive how well he grasps how the human mind works. This is his most complicated book from the Triad (first 3 books). If you want a person to want you, you have to enter her/his mind first. It's definitely not about simple tricks, or pick up lines, it goes far and beyond that. Those who discredit this book are naive and don't understand the mechanics of seduction. It can be used with one and all.

The chapter about the anti-seducer is worth the whole book! It's impressive how many men do what they shouldn't be doing: begging, bragging, talking about their weaknesses, etc.

Are you a Suffocator? Those fall in love with you before you're even half-aware of his existence.

Are you a Brute? Those have no patience, they're concerned only with their own pleasure, never with yours.

Awesome Book!

The Art of Seduction is an interesting read in that it really laws down the laws of attraction and seduciton. This isn't just a read for the novice, either, even seasoned veterns can come away with some good tips on seduction. The author really knows his stuff and lays it out, point by point. If you are looking to up your game, this is a book you don't want to miss. I'd suggest it with Get Laid Now! The Man's Guide to Picking Up Women and Casual Sex.
