| After buying several cheaper card readers (all of which either did not work or failed in a few weeks) I purchased the SanDisk ImageMate CF Reader. I use it on an IMac G5. No software was needed. It works flawlessly every time. I highly recommend this product. I have a semi-professional photographer friend who has had a similar wonderful experience. |

I use this card reader to take pictures off cards from Canon Digital SLR cameras. Works great, fast enough for me. I go between an XP desktop and a Vista laptop and it is seamless on both. That feature (XP or Vista) was what I was looking for so that is important to me. I don't use the feature of the push button so I can't really comment on that. I like this card reader! |

| This CF reader/writer does just that with no fuss, no software, just plug and go. Works very well. I bought two and one of them had a bad USB cable. Since I have a drawer full of USB cables this was no problem, but it may be for you. |

I don't run Windows on any of my computers.
I run FreeBSD and Linux.
My daughter has a digital camera that uses a Compact Flash card. I went out to the local mega-variety store and picked up one of them mass storage device gizmos that will read every storage card yet invented. It was expensive and didn't work on my stuff. I don't know how they run on Windows. Never tried it.
But I have grown to appreciate devices that do one thing and do it well - over those all-purpose do-everything devices that don't do any of them very well.
This device does the job like a champ and dependably. The little button on the front doesn't do anything on my equipment; but even if it did I wouldn't use it.
I highly recommend this device for reading Compact Flash - especially if you run Linux or something non-Windows. |

"Typical SanDisk quality" | 2008-03-01 |

| It seems that all of my local electronics retailers for some unknown reason either don't stock CF card readers or carry nothing but off-branded junk. I tried one of the off-brand junk readers. Yep. It was junk alright. I took that thing back. I knew there was a reason that I always stuck with SanDisk stuff. I picked this one up and it works as trouble-free and flawlessly as any other SanDisk product I've used. |

This Reader/Writer was easy to install and works as documented. I use it with my Canon Rebel XTi digital camera. I haven't used anything else so I can't compare it to any other device. However this does what I want it to do.
Thank you, The Hermit |

| This product makes downloading pictures and movies easy and quick. My DIL has a Nikon D70 with the compact flash, and this card reader was a gift to her. She is pleased with how fast the pictures load and it's ease of use. I would recommend this product to anyone who uses a compact flash for pictures. |
