"Amazing Drawing Tablet" | 2008-10-09 |

| I thought that the tablet might be useless, b/c I thought it might be hard to draw w/o ink coming onto the tablet, so that I could see what I was doing, but magically, looking at the screen while you draw is JUST as easy! Finally, there's a way for people to use technology to their advantage w/o having to worry about their drawings coming out weird when done with a mouse. And if you make mistakes, there's no eraser marks, you can add special effects, and there are layers. If you draw something amazing, but find that it's not in the right place or it's not the right size, on the computer, that can easily be fixed w/o having to erase anything. Get this tablet, b/c it works way better than you think. |

Intuos 3 by far better performance than,( "bamboo fun" honestly worst I ever used).
Intous 3 is smooth, highly sensitive and a joy to work with. Intous pen is incredibly accurate and so closely imitating a brush.
Great product for the $price. |

It's about time you aquire one of these, im tellin you i can't put the thing down. |

| this wacom was very usefull for photoshop. I really didn't get it for anything else but it works very nice and was easy to controll. But I'm not a fan of the mouse (don't use it)but the pen was a good size for my hand and made the transition form a regular pencil to the wacom alot easier. |

"Excellent tool" | 2008-08-26 |

I bought this Wacom 6x8 to replace an aging UD series Tablet I've had since 1995 (I think It's been so long I don't even remember)! The UD Tablet was faithful and never broke once on me. It was big and kind of clunky, interfaced using a Serial cable and had a seperate power cable with a transformer style plug. Let me tell you how much easier this new Wacom Tablet is to use and set up!
LOTS!, that's right LOTS easier! The old Tablet was 12X12 so while it had more surface area it was almost too big for my needs. This 6X8 is perfect in size, plugs in with one simple USB connection and software installed very easily. Setting up the Tablet was a snap too, the software makes it very easy to get the pressure sensitivity right where I need it. Speaking of sensitivity, it is by far more responsive than my old UD Tablet as well.
The flexible functionality of the buttons left and right of the drawing area were easy to program to do I wanted. I had to disable the left scroll area since I am left handed and I kept running my hand over it. It was no problem though since I have a scroll bar on the right side too. Nice of them to take care of us Left handers.
The stylus pen feels very nice and light and is multi functional without being annoying, as in, the buttons are not placed such where I hit them by accident. I tend to twirl whatever I'm drawing with, a habit I picked up drawing with a pencil, twirling it to move to the sharp edge but this does not present a problem with this pen where as it was a bit of a aggravation on my old UD Stylus.
I just completed a job of retouching over 350 images for a catalog and I used the tablet to do airbrushing. Adding in shadows and doing blemish removal in photoshop and it's really thanks to this tablet it made it so easy.
Highly recommended! Keeping my fingers crossed this one lasts as long as my old UD Tablet did. (BTW my UD still works too but it seems they stopped software supporting it with XP Service Pack 3). |

| The product seems great although I have not used all of the features. It takes a while to get used to it. It is beautifully designed and I think it will be very helpful to me in designing. Be aware of the vendor's shipping policies, i.e., whether you can pick up your item from the UPS terminal if UPS attempts delivery when you are unavailable. You may find that you have to call the vendor, first, to make special arrangements with UPS, which happened in my case. Check first to avoid surprise/inconvenience. |

This is quite a step up from from my old 4x5 Graphire1. I don't use most of the buttons, but having an undo button and a brush size slider handy helps quite a bit.
The included software (PS Elements and Painter Essentials) was lacking, but the brushes included with PS as well as the Wacom brushes work in GIMP. Two of the included brush sets wouldn't load in GIMP, but they're mostly identical to the default brushes anyway.
If you plan to use this (or any tablet) in Linux, be sure to read the tablet install guide on your distro's forums. |

Have several Intuos3 tablets, and the device itself is really good. Some issues with MacOS X drivers were resolved two months ago.
However, this is not a review of a product. Be warned that some sellers are selling refurbished units as new, and not marking the difference, either in price or shipping. My latest purchase involved a refurbished unit, and seller refused to ship a non-refurbished one.
I love Intuos3. But beware of misleading sellers. |

It was hard to find the difference in the two. They both have limited lifetime warranty. We chose the this product; the PTZ630 because we did notice a huge difference in the software bundled they come with.

This tablet has so far worked flawlessly for me, and I've had it for over a month. While other tablets I have used have often lagged or frozen, this one has been working smoothly since I opened the box.
For a serious art student studying illustration and animation, this has been a perfect solution for my needs, seeing as I don't have the money to spend on a Wacom Cintiq. |
