"Just so so and not jumbo" | 2008-09-09 |

| These rollers are so so. First I would hardly call these rollers jumbo size, they are more like large size rollers so I get more curl than I wanted. Second, while it has a light to let you know the unit is turned on, it doesn't have any indicator light to let you know when the rollers are hot enough to use. And lastly, they don't really get that hot. |

These are exactly what I was looking for! I have tried other rollers in the past without any luck...mostly because I had no idea what I was doing, so I watched this video per another users suggestion and it really, really helped:

I have longer (about mid-chest), thicker, naturally curly hair cut into long layers. I used them yesterday after having my hair up in a pony-tail all day. The curls came out beautifully. If you have naturally curly hair, you know that after having your hair up all day it tends to be a little straighter/smoother than after a fresh blow-dry so I was anxious to see how they would come out after a fresh wash/blow-dry. Tried them today after my wash/dry and once again they came out beautiful! I used hairspray prior to putting the rollers in for extra hold as well as after the rollers cooled and once again after taking out and "shaking" out the curls.
Some of the reviews say that they leave a "crimp" from the line in the rollers---I didn't notice that but perhaps that is due to the length of my hair.
A couple notes, not complaints, I could use at least 4 more rollers since my hair is longer but the pamphlet that comes with the rollers states you can buy extra sets. Also, the metal clips don't hold as well as it seems the plastic clips would and it takes a little time to get them in so my fingers burnt a bit while trying to get them in. Over time, probably wouldn't be a problem as you get the "technique" down but as a "newbie" to rollers, it takes me a little time. Overall though, I am very, very satisfied and these TOTALLY beat using a traditional curling iron on long hair to get the same results. Good luck ladies! |

I bought this product tonight and just used the hot rollers. They were ready to go in about 3 minutes. I have never used hot rollers before so it was somewhat of a disaster... I tried to start from the bottom and work up... don't ask why. I seriously had no idea what i was doing. But in the end when I took them out i had much more volume than usual and some wave. I was really happy just with that. My hair is really flat and thin and I hate it.
So naturally I went looking around on the internet trying to figure out how to use these rollers and found this video on youtube.

I can't wait to try again tomorrow! Since I have seen so many posts about people not knowing how to use the wire clips, I thought I would share :)
Happy rolling! |

"Good for taming frizz" | 2008-06-26 |

| I use this set for taming my horrible hair. I have long semi-curly hair that tries to frizz all the time. These rollers really help smooth out my hair. I like the large size. They make nice big curls. They also work really well with the layers cut in my hair and really makes them stand out. |

| I had some relatively low expectations when I got this, as I have fine hair that's a bit over a foot long all over, but curing iorns were giving me too much damage and lots of split ends. Anyhow, after a 7 minute warm up, and a 10-ish minute set, I had perfect curls with shine & bounce! I do suggest getting the little plastic clips (mine are white) for bang areas or odd little layered sections, but the wire ones work just fine. |

"You ladies have crimps in your hair." | 2008-05-21 |

I have looked everywhere for jumbo rollers, and these seem to get the best reviews of any of the lower-priced items.
But when I rolled my hair with them, there were crimps in my hair from the lines down either side of the rollers. I can't think of any creative way to avoid the crimp, so I got rid of the rollers. (And yes, I did notice that they were way too hot to hold on the plastic ends).
I'm sure everyone using these has very pretty curls, but they're probably also walking around with crimps in funny places all over their heads.

| Do not waste your time and your money on this product. The metal clips are completely awful and do not hold your hair at all, the end up falling right out. Then when you finally get them to stay, after much frustration, they poke at your scalp to the point where it is unbareable for them to remain in any longer. The curlers do not reach a high heat, and therefore do not curl your hair. I kept the curlers in for about 25 minutes, and when I took them out, my hair was exactly the same. |

| Conair puts out a good product and these are no exception. After 1 use, I decided I needed smaller rollers just for the top of my hair. I took 4 of the large rollers from my most recent set of Conair rollers and put them in place of 4 of the jumbos in this set. They worked perfectly. They heat up fast and roll easily. This about about my 6th set of Conair rollers. I get bored and want a change before anything has ever not worked on them. |
