I loved this pillow while I was pregnant. I used it every night from the day I got it to the a week or so after I delivered. It was wonderful. I never had a problem sleeping. It took up a lot of room in our bed, but my husband, dog, myself and pillow were all still able to sleep in our queen size bed with little complaining from my husband.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this pillow & was a little Leary with the mix reviews it got. But it is this pregnant women's dream come true. I am only 9 weeks & already having difficultly getting comfortable, due to the 1st trimester blues. When this pillow arrived yesterday I pulled it out of the box & immediately gave it a test run. Well, it's like being on a cloud & in a cocoon at the same time. The extra plus it is great protection from my 1st baby, my silky terrier, when he tries to jump on me. I am looking forward to using it for the remaining of my pregnancy & there after. One down fall is that you don't want to get out of bed in the morning.

I absolutely love it. My pillow finally arrived and I lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvve it and thought i would share! I think someone else posted they bougt it a while back and loved it as well. Its soooo comfy. Lately some nights I'll have back, belly, or leg pains and some nights i just wasn't able to get comfy -but this pillow is sooo comfy. Unlike other one sided pregnancy pillows like the snoogle -its the same on both sides so no matter which way I turned, (I'm a tosser) I was comfortable -I was even comfy on my back -but was safely never flat on my back -always with my head elevated and leaning one way or another. Right now I am sitting up in bed with my laptop and have the pillow half bent up against the headboard so I'm sitting comfortably. I'm sue I'm going to be using it sleep even after pregnancy.
I was skeptical of buying it online at first because you can't return a used pillow, but after reading a ton of product descriptions and reviews online I decide on the Leachco Back n Belly pillow. It is the lowest priced on amazon at 54.99 w/o taxes or shipping
The only thing negative I found true from reading the reviews is that it has a traditional type pillowcase that is a pain to lug on such a huge pillow -and if you buy it from amazon like I did -it is in 'ivory' white so it can get dirty easily if you don't wash off your makeup first -but i just draped a soft bath towel over the head part -or a small soft baby blanket would do too.

I started having trouble sleeping through the night at 4 months into my pregnancy. Normally, I sleep on my stomach, so when I had to switch to side-sleeping instead it was REALLY uncomfortable! After many sleepless nights, knowing that I desperately needed my shut-eye, I searched the net for a solution. After reading all the reviews, I decided on this pillow. It arrived with supersaver shipping in 2 days!!! This body pillow is amazing. I have not slept without it since. We even took it on vacation and it made the hotel beds much more bearable. They NEVER give you enough pillows anyway. Now, when I wake up, I can shift to my other side and not have to shift multiple pillows into position to support my growing belly. The back support is a huge plus as well. I highly reccomend this pillow!!!

I was tired of investing in more pregnancy gadgets that I probably wouldnt use again so put off buying a pillow up until my 7th month. I couldnt take another night tossing and turning using regular pillow not to mention waking up with sore hips and back pain. I had no idea what pillow to buy and saw the Leachco Back N Belly. I read the great reviews and guess what they were right!!! I am getting the best sleep in my life and waking up refreshed and relaxed. I recommend this pillow to ALL pregnant women. You will be so happy you made this purchase. I just wish I would of bought it 3 months ago. Happy sleeping!

Once I received this pillow I slept on it for three nights straight and then have been using my regular pillows ever since. There are some pros to the pillow. It really is comfortable to lay on and does support your entire body well. It really is great on your neck as your entire body is at the same level as your head, minimizing any neck discomfort. It also does minimize hip, butt, and back pain. When I used the pillow I didn't toss and turn as often.
There are also some cons with this pillow. It could be a bit longer. If you are tall and want to use it between your legs you will only be able to use it to keep your knees from rubbing together. Forget the lower half of your legs. It is also really big. I have a queen bed and my husband cannot sleep in bed with me. Everytime I move, the pillow seems to spread out further. My biggest complaint that caused me not to sleep with the pillow anymore is that there really is nowhere comfortable to place your arms. Whatever side I layed on, that arm would fall asleep or throb in pain. You can place your arm under the pillow and stretch it out on the bed, but you can only deal with the pain for so long. Also, like the picture shows above, you can put it around your waist in a sitting position and read or breastfeed. This is very uncomfortable and I can't get the ends to stay up to support my head. Also, I think it was meant for very thin women, because it doesn't fit well around my waist and I am only a little bit overweight.
To summarize, if you don't mind sleeping alone and you don't mind not having lower leg support or some arm pain, then this is the pillow for you. |

The pillow is comfortable and better than stacking a variety of pillows but I wished it held its shape better. There isn't enough back support when lying on your side so half of the pillow seems useless.

I bought this pillow when i was about 2 1/2 months pregnant. I could never sleep for some reason. I got the pillow and fell in love with it. I'm now 27 weeks pregnant and couldn't live without it. As far as the review where the seam digs into the neck and shoulders, occasionally if i push myself too far up into the pillow this happens... so i readjust and i'm fine. I love that it goes around both sides of the pillow. I'm notorious for waking up in the middle of the night on my back (in tremendous pain), so i tuck the side of the pillow on my back under my back snugly and so if i happen to roll over at night it won't allow me to be flat on my back I'm at an angle (which is better for baby and me). I think the only downfall for the pillow was the cover. When i ordered mine there was not a replacement cover, so i take it off and wash it. The cover now has those little beaded balls on it which aren't the most comfortable. I bought 3 1/2 yards of fabric and made myself a new cover and whalah everything is good. I do like the idea the person had of cutting the end out of an existing pillow case and sliding it to the middle, I'll have to do that. Great Purchase, i highly recommend this pillow.

This pillow saved my back - literally! - during my second pregnancy. It was a permanent fixture in the bed from six weeks along until the end (and then that first month or so after), and it held up very well. Both my hubby and older daughter enjoyed sneaking naps in the "gargantu-boppy" as well. Only two issues with the pillow that kept me from giving it 5 stars. (1) The pillowcase that came with the pillow is thin and not that comfortable. I got around that using their pillowcase as a pattern to make my own (out of minky - delish!). I suppose you could also wrap the pillow in a throw blanket or something ... or find a friend who sews! (2) The pictures and measurements may not quite give you a sense of how HUGE this thing is. We have a king bed, so it fit fine, but I imagine someone with a queen or smaller bed might find themselves rather tight for space.
