"Works well, but Amazon's picture is incorrect" | 2010-03-03 |

| This is a newer version of a weather station that served me well for a dozen years. In fact, that older weather station still works, but the outdoor sender died. So, I thought I would order this model, and its sender would feed data to both the old indoor unit and this new indoor unit. Great theory, as the picture on Amazon has 433mhz clearly stamped on the front of the indoor unit. But that is incorrect. This unit comes with the 915mhz sender, as the text describing the unit clearly states. But rather than send it back, I kept it because it works so well and looks so good and is priced so low, as these things go. The old unit went into a drawer as I hate to throw away anything that still works. |

| This item was too narrow in viewing for our choice. We really had to view closely to read and not be distracted by the frame. Of course, us old folks like to see the "big picture" on everything! |

This was my first product from LaCrosse Technology, and am completely satisfied.
I'm a weather bug and have been for 50 years, and I watch what type of products I purchase and from whom. |

| This is a great little thermometer, barometer, clock, calendar, forecast machine. My only complaint is that it takes too long to update. Example: there are black clouds above my house and the icon still shows "sunny and clear", with the barometer arrow up, after about an hour, it will show the barometer dropping and clouds. Still love it though. |

"Know if you need a sweater or a rain coat!" | 2010-02-11 |

I was looking for a quick way to know how to dress the kids for school, without waiting for the TV to tell me... Anyway, I've got too much to do in the mornings to wait around for the TV. There are loads of these kinds of devices on the market, but very few with a sensor for indoor humidity, which I wanted. This along with the "forecast" feature, makes this one VERY useful device. The only thing I'd change is having the display backlit, because it can sometimes be a little difficult to see in certain light conditions...
Conclusion: Works as advertized, delivers the necessary information with no fuss, and amazingly, it's REALLY accurate with the forecasts. I've learned to trust the device... Even with it doesn't look like it's going to rain. It's worth the money. |
