The backpack works great. My laptop fits into the sleeve snugly and feel very protected. There is plenty of room for books and binders as well. Overall the backpacks feels incredibly well made and sturdy.

"Great Bag Overall" | 2008-08-06 |

There are a very few stuff I do not like about the bag, however since the bag saved my life, I really can't complain. How it saved my life, I'm 21 yea old idiot who decided to make a sharp turn at 50-60 mph. Since at the time I was a new motorcyclist I wiped out high side and it through me 5-10 feet. Luckily I landed on my back and was wearing this bag pack (full of clothes I left at my friend's house over the years, no laptop). Then I slid another 10 feet until I hit a curb. I swear if I was wearing something cheep like Jan Sport, I'm sure I would not be here today. After the accident I was kind of shocked, my backpack was still in usable condition. Only the zipper jammed, and the shock absorber started to lose some thread.
What I like about the bag, it's very roomy it has a lot of compartments. If I wanted to kill my back I can literally carry all text books for 2-3 of my class plus a laptop. It has a shock absorber which I think it's pretty cool (I don't know if it physically works, I think it's just more a mental thing). There is a lot of patting between you and the backpack. What I really don't like, someone said earlier here, I really don't like that fact it has no padding for the laptop on the top. If you drop your bag and lands on the top you will damage your laptop. For me I only have body damage for the laptop, everything else works. So if the manufactures reads this I wish you guys added more padding on the bottom of the laptop and the top. Would I buy it again? If I needed a back pak just for everyday use, I would buy it in a heartbeat. However since my laptop is the main reason I bought this bag pack, I'm would look for something that had more padding on the top and bottom. But as for like impact areas, Top 2/5 Side 4/5 Front 5/5 Back 5/5 Bottom 3/5 Satisfied with my investment? Yes |

I had to replace the motherboard and memory chips after being caught in the rain without an umbrella. Never had this problem with previous backpacks.
Otherwise nice backpack, seems sturdy. It has a lot of space without impacting the shape of the backpack.

This bag has a lot of room for pretty much everything you would want to put in it from a computer related standpoint. There are tons of pockets and I can fit all of the things I need in it easily (and I carry around a lot of stuff). I have a 15.4" computer and it fits well in the bag, but it would be nice if the padding came all the way to the top of the computer rather than leaving the top couple of inches exposed. That's a minor complaint though.
The padding on the straps and the back of the bag are great and make this bag very comfortable to carry around if you are forced to have it on your back for a while.
It's a good bag for the price, it's solidly built, and it has lots of room for plenty of supplies. |

I looked long and hard for a laptop backpack - I was tired of the standard laptop case that couldn't carry an apple or bottle of water. I found this backpack at an office supply store but it was MUCH cheaper through Amazon... I'm a 46-year-old exec who does a lot of business travel, so I've put this pack through the ringer. It's extremely sturdy and well-made (it's Swiss - what else would you expect), the zippers (all 11) are strong, and it's got some great features. I like the quick-access pocket at the top for keys, cell, etc., as well as the internal flap that holds it upright on the floor. The padding is excellent - very comfortable for that long haul across DFW!

| This is a good buy for the price. I've had this bag two years now and the seams are starting to unravel, but it's lasted good until now. My only other complaint is that it's quite heavy - add 10lbs to whatever load you are carrying |

I purchased this pack for a son going to college. I ended up using it for a couple of months myself. It is very designed and built. It has pockets everywhere. It has a surprising amount of padding on the back to allow comfortable carrying of a laptop and other papers. Zippers appear to be first quality. Only issue of concern it that the pack is smaller than the massive LL Bean packs that my HS kids now have. It will probably not hold a days worth of college books. But what it will hold, it will hold in comfort. Fits a 15 inch laptop well. |

My employer purchased this bag for me to use to transport my laptop back and forth to work. The first thing I noticed is that the bag can hold a lot of stuff. There is a padded compartment for laptops with screens up to 15.4", and it works great with my 14" IBM Thinkpad T43 and my personal 15" MacBook Pro. There are small zippered pockets on the inside of the two main compartments, a medium sized zippered pocket on each side on the outside, and a water bottle holder on each side. There is also a compartment on top with an MP3 holder and a hole for the headphone wire, allowing you to listen to music while the MP3 player is in the bag.
I am able to transport my laptop, power cable, mouse, multiple books, some magazines, my iPod and headphones, some notebooks, pens, and paper with room to spare. You could easily carry a laptop, some college textbooks, and notepads in this bag.
The bag is very comfortable with nicely padded shoulder straps and a nicely padded back. The part that rests against your back is made of multiple pieces of foam which are separated by gaps. The gaps allow air to flow across your back, helping to keep you cool. While it doesn't help too much while walking, it is very nice when I am riding my motorcycle.
My only complaint about the bag is the horizontal strap. Most larger backpacks have the strap down low so it rests across your waist and helps distribute the weight better. On this bag, the strap is up high, almost at shoulder level. It can be adjusted up and down a little bit, but not far enough to go below your chest. Usually it ends up almost around your neck. I have tried adjusting the shoulder straps so that the horizontal strap is as low as possible, but I can never get it to be comfortable. Instead, using the horizontal strap always results in the weight being distributed in a less comfortable manner, so I never use it.
This is the best computer backpack I have ever owned, even with the minor complaint. |

| Hi, this backpack is amazing, it carries everything i need and even more. My only problem with it is that it is a little too big, but not to worry about that. Everything else about it is very good. If you are looking for a backpack to hold your laptop and all the other stuff you need, or if you jsut need it for school ( i don't recomand it for girls ) this is probabaly one of the best backpacks out there for the price. |
