This review is partly about my addiction to this game and may also serve as a warning to the unsuspecting.
First to begin with, I'm against all addictions. Addictions can inhibit you in fulfilling other worthwhile goals in your life.
I've played this game way, way too much. To the point where it's kind of messing with my life right now. Causing me to miss appointments and being late for work more than a few times.
I find myself contriving ways to stay away from my computer just because the game is on it.
Sometimes I approach my computer station with trepidation knowing that the game is there waiting, lurking---as it were---beckoning to me, to plunge into its world.
When I give in and enter its magical universe, I like to play as a healer, and I'm a pretty good one.
I use protection spells and divine favor enchantments to heal and keep my team alive during adventures and battles.
Though I've been playing the game for more years than I care to remember,
I've just gotten around to reviewing it because I was just too busy playing.

"Long Time Gamer But First MMORPG" | 2009-10-08 |

| I've been playing computer games since the 80's, but Guild Wars is the first MMORPG that I've tried and after playing it for hours and hours in the 5 days that I've had, I am hooked and only wish I had tried it sooner! I had been looking at a MMORPG to try and after reading the great reviews I decided to go with Guild Wars. I have not been disappointed with my decision. I love the RPG slant, as well as the gameplay and graphics. The people I've met and played with online have all been helpful and friendly. And to top it all off, once you buy the game, you can play as long as you like, with NO MONTHLY FEES! I look forward to playing each evening, returning to Ascalon and the next adventure that awaits me. |

"Brief Summary of Guild Wars" | 2009-10-07 |

| Was searching for a secure game; where hackers don't rule, and the administrators are helpful and know what they are doing. Guild Wards is very well thought out. Not too much grinding, leveling is pretty quick. Options abound, no two characters are the same, so many skills and attributes available. Graphics are terrific. Game works flawlessly, no difficulty connecting. Lots of players. Plenty to read and research on the Web. I bought the original version on the cheap to see if I like the game. Guild Wars 2 comes out soon but will no doubt cost more. For a few dollars, you can't go wrong with this game ... |

| This game was my first computer game i ever brought and i love it. I play it for hours upon hours. You can chat with friends, create your own characters, and live a completely different life. It is so fun and easy. I learned in just one day. It has two stages and is so nice to be able to relax and play. I would recommend this product completely especailly because the bonus fire imp helps out so much it made it alot easier for me. |

| I lost interest in this game pretty fast. I usually love MMORPGs but this game made me feel so limited and the lack of substance did not allow me to really get in depth into the game. I did not enjoy this game and feel that some of the free online MMORPGs were actually better. Over all, it did what I wanted it to do which was to kill time and distract me. The graphics were nice and it ran on my laptop! |

"AWESOME GAME! AWESOME PRICE! EPIC! " | 2009-02-26 |

| I have been playing World of Warcraft for a year now, and to tell you the truth...I'm tired of pay for play. I finally sat back and look at my time. Majority of my time is spent at work or doing some other necessary or family activity so $15/month really is getting wasted for nothing. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy playing WOW (65th Level Warrior), but for the time and price (sucky economy...)I needed a less expensive or free MMORPG. So I looked at the downloadable ones online. Some were pretty great ie. Perfect World and Shaiya. But Guild Wars, while having to pay for it initially but free forever, has them beat. The game is just as epic as World of Warcraft but with better graphics and designed like my favorite game, Diablo II. Trust me this game rocks!!! Soon as you begin you're in the story and it takes off from there. I have PVP'd yet (7th level warrior) but I'm already in a guild. Just my 2 cents but why pay for something for a month when the majority of your time isn't even playing the GAME??? That's just wasting $! Guild Wars is three different games set in the same world plus an expansion, and a sequel on the way. Buy it, play it. When you turn the game off, coins and cash stay were they should be, in YOUR POCKET! |
