"Good speaker for small room, hookup option #2 sounds much better than hookup option #1" | 2008-10-03 |

The speakers work great in a small room (in my case, 15 ft by 20 ft). The speakers have three hook up options. I tried option #2 first and then option # 1 after my subwoofer cable arrived. They sound much better using option #2. What a waste of my money to get the subwoofer cable!
I read previous reviews about lack of low-frequecy male vocal sound from the speakers. That is exactly my experience with option #1 hookup. Using option #2, it sounds good for both movie effects and music. I have no problem with low-frequency male vocal sound at all. Actually, I need to tune down the subwoofer volume to reduce the low frequency sounds. |

| New theater system in basement, fairly small area (12w by 10). Sound absorbing walls. Paired with Onkyo SR-606, Samsung LN40A450 flat screen, HDMI. Great pictures, great sound. Working back through my DVD collection now to see what i've been missing. |

| I bought this item based on reading the reviews. I'm pretty dissapointed. It's Ok for watching movies, but, unless it's for a bedroom, or you have never had a real sound system, it's not sufficient for music. There is very little base. You can barely tell the sub is on. If you crank up the volume on the subwoofer enough so you can hear it, it just rumbles, which is not pleasing to the ear. They are cheap, so maybe my expectations were too high, or maybe these just weren't meant for music. I may try using my big JBL speakers for the front pair and not use the subwoofer. I've read the the next model up has a better subwoofer. |

| I bought these speakers a little less than a month ago in my first foray into home theater. I originally was going to go with a HTiB but decided that a separate receiver and speakers was the better option. Now, I'm not an audiophile by any means, but I like to have quality equipment. Purchasing these speakers was definitely a good buy. I can't believe the big sound that comes out of these tiny speakers. The sub sounds good to me. I hooked it up as "option #2" from the polk manual, and that has worked fine so far. I can do nothing but recommend these speakers to anyone. Also, I found the best price for them($[...]) at [...]. |

| I priced the PA RM6750 system at my local big stereo store where it was on clearance at $400. I was a little concerned that the Amazon price was exactly HALF of their sale price- something must be wrong! However, it is in fact the real deal and has a great sound. I'm very pleased. Delivery was fast and efficient. Thanks- I feel like I got a steal of a deal. |

What a Great system...
I bought this speaker system to accomidate my Onkyo Reciever and what a pure delight.
The speakers are nicley built, heavy and sound is crisp and clear. The susbwoofer has may features on the back panel all which can be controled manually or set on Auto.
Compared to Bose Audio,, this will smoke the Bose Cinimate with no comparison...Read my review I left on the Cinamate.
Great Product, wont be dispapppointed... |

| This is my first foray into "real" home audio systems. My last home-theater-in-a-box died a few weeks ago, and instead of buying another cheap all in one to replace it, I decided to upgrade to an actual switched receiver. These speakers sound very nice, the dialog is crisp, the surround sound is far superior to what I had before. The sub sounds fine to me (I'm not a fan of trunk rattling bass in cars either), but I can understand how others say it might sound flat. |

| These are great speakers for the money I am very impressed them. They are small, but if you set them up correctly and have a descent receiver you will be pleased also. By the way the room I have them in,is a 20x20 and they are pushed by an old sony str-de475 80watts per channel. Hope this helps. |

"Good for movies and TV" | 2008-08-03 |

This compact surround system works great with my home theater set-up in a pretty small room, but you might be disappointed if you want to use it to listen to much in the way of music. There's just not enough "there" there, which leads this non-audiophile to say that there's probably not enough midrange.
Sorry, don't have any alternative suggestions as I am currently considering upgrade options myself. Leaning toward beefing up the fronts first. If there's still not enough window shattering going on, I'll move on to the sub, then the center and finally the surrounds. Again, movies and TV sound great with this system, so long as you're not watching a rock concert film.
