"Excellent juicer!" | 2007-03-17 |

| Very happy with the Breville Juice Fountain. I have owned other juicers, the latest being the Omega 1000. I had few problems with the Omega and it is an excellent juicer except it is an absolute pain-in-the-butt to clean. I bought the paper filters hoping that would help with clean-up but there were still tiny bits of pulp that had to be washed out of the mesh and it took forever. Consequently, I juiced less often. The Breville cleans up in no time. I can also see that I'm getting better output from the Breville. More juice, faster clean-up, well...I think I made a good choice here. I'm now juicing twice or three times a day. I make fresh juices for the grandkids too and they love it. This is an attractive unit on the counter, its a fast and efficient juicer, and it cleans up in about 5 minutes. |

"Too much waste" | 2008-10-06 |

| The Breville makes beautiful juice, but there is more than 50% waste by weight. I wish I had researched more. I now have a Breville for sale for someone who wishes only juice and no fiber. For this the product is lovely. I ended up purchasing another product where there is NO waste, with all the fruit/vegetables being processed. I am much happier with that, and figure that the savings in fruits and vegetables with pay for both the units in one year. |

"This is One Incredible Machine" | 2008-10-04 |

I purchased this juicer based on some very positive reviews on Amazon. My expectations were high, but this product greatly exceeded them.
I have purchased many products on Amazon over the years, but this is the first time I have ever been motivated to write a review. Of course, it is difficult to describe in words how incredible this machine truly is, and other reviews have provided details so I will not repeat them here - no need for redundancy.
I decided to get a juicer because I liked the idea of being able to create something really healthy to consume in this day and age of processed foods. I'm not a health food nut - I probably eat way too many processed foods. Without going overboard, I wanted to get a quality machine that would do the job, be fun to use, and be easy to maintain. This juicer was clearly one of the most expensive ones out there, but based on the other reviews, I thought I would take a chance.
This machine is incredibly fast. It perfectly separates the juice from the pulp. The only problem is that it is so much fun to use, it's over too soon. This is a machine that is a joy to use, and the quality of the juice product is difficult to describe.
Think of what a Cuisanart does to vegetables, etc., and ratchet up the quality of the result by several orders of magnitude. You're drinking amazingly fresh juice in a matter of seconds, not minutes. It gives new meaning to the word "fresh." And it's simple to clean.
In summary, probably one of the best products of any kind I have ever purchased. |

I bought this juicer for my wife (and family) as a birthday gift. We use it nearly every day now. Pros: Really easy cleanup (we also use biodegradeable bags so we just toss the bag right into our composting bin), simple to use. Cons: Very tall - doesn't fit under our cabinetry in the kitchen.
All in all I'm very happy with the result. I've told my wife that I'd like to try using it to chip brush from the yard as well... |

| Upon receipt, the juicer would allow big chunks to be ejected into the pulp collector. I determined that the stainless steel cutter bowl was not to proper specs as there was too much space between the input chute and the cutter (1/4 inch instead of 1/8 inch). I contacted Breville and they replaced the bowl. The juicer now works perfectly and I am completely satisfied. I have used three other top brand juicers and the Breville juices much faster and is far easier to clean. |

| I very much recommend the Breville Juice Fountain Elite, Model 800 JEXL to anyone who is a serious juicer or juices for health issues. It is well built, heavy duty, does not heat up the juice, the pulp comes out dry, and very easy to clean. The manual is well written, easy enough. I am also getting a very high juice to pulp ratio and have not experienced this before.br /br /Over the years I have burned-up many low end juicers and wasn't satisfied with so called high end devices. | I'm new to juicing and just purchased this unit a week ago after doing my research and reading reviews. I'm disappointed with how wet the pulp is in addition to chunks of product not getting juiced and thrown in to the pulp collector bin. I used both speeds and also pushed the plunger down slow as recommended but same result. I think this is an inherent design flaw due to the distance between the chute and the cutting blade being too great allowing pieces to get thrown out without getting juiced. Forget trying to juice leafy greens like spinach as you'll have little juice after putting in the whole bag and much of it thrown in the pulp collector. Unless you have an unlimited grocery budget and can afford such inefficient results, I'd consider going with a high quality smoothie maker or other juicing method such as grind and press. Less waste, more goodness! |

| Before I bought this item, I thought about it for quite a while because it is not inexpensive, but I have found that some things are really worth the extra money. I truly use this juicer every day. It is a snap to clean and I love how the pitcher strains the foam, so that the glass of juice comes out vibrant and clear. My favorite recipes are carrot, apple, celery, beet and lemon. Or lettuce, lemon, ginger, apple. Yum! Cleansing and filling. I read the Raw Food Detox Diet, and this juicer is helping to flood my cells with millions of enzymes and pure energy producing hydration. Worth every penny! |

"Great machine for the serious juicer" | 2008-04-28 |

I've owned the Breville 800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite for more than a month using it about every day. Although not inexpensive to be sure, it's performance far exceeds any of the two previous machines I've had, and is definitely the best I've ever owned. The construction is a precisely designed, heavy gauge, and also quite beautiful stainless steel which does not stain in the least. The motor has two speeds, low for certain items, and an impressively powerful high speed producing an abundance of juice derived from whatever your pleasure happens to be. Clean-up is both easy and an acceptable trade-off for the benefit of health promoting juice. Given the time I've had this machine, I've used it extensively and my immediate gratification remains steady so please do compare this happy endorsement with other more long term reviews.

| I bought this as a replacement for a cheap model that I had had for 15 years. It is great!! It uses much more of the fruit/vegetable than my old one and the pulp is very dry. It is very easy to use, and while clean up on any juicer isn't exactly a breeze, this one is definitely better than I expected. The feeding tube is large, I can put in a whole apple. I love it! |

| Several years ago I purchased the Breville juicer. I used it 2 or 3 times when it suddenly stopped working. I returned it and the company sent me a new one. Although I have only used it a handful of times since then, I have enjoyed the product. Unfortunately I just used it and again it stopped working. Needless to say I am very disappointed. The fact that the same problem occurred with 2 different juicers does not bode well for how the motor is manufactured. I would certainly like to know if others have had this same problem. |
