I got this for my son when he was 5 months old, he loved it. every time the song came on he would look to me to see if my mouth was moving! He used it lying down and sitting up. His baby sister is almost a year and used it constantly as well. My son, now three, still uses it. My daughter is starting to lose interest though, i think it has to do with their different personalities, but for both children it was a great toy. i was surprised to see some of the negative reviews as i said to my husband recently how much we got out of that one toy.
this was one of four gyms that I received as gifts, and I decided to keep this one and return the rest since I trusted LeapFrog as a company. Big mistake! Even though this was the priciest of them all, I'm convinced that it wasn't the best. It only plays one song, which is short, and then turns off by itself, so I have to keep running to turn it back on. I think it'd be much better if the light display was better or if it had more toys to bat at than just the mobile. My son is only three months old, so I'm hoping he'll like it more once he can play with it sitting or standing up.

My daughter still likes this toy. It has grown with her and she's 1 1/2 now. She did like it more when she was about 6 months though
I got these toys for my twin nieces. These keep the babies busy for hours. The music is very soft and soothing.

This gym really keeps my 5 month occupied. I love that you can switch from music to language. I often lay him on his boppy under this gym. I look forward to him using this when he gets older.

My 2 month old can't stop smiling when he looks at this toy! It is the cutest thing to see how his attention is captivated by the sounds. We bought rechargeable batteries and we charge them at night. Rechargeable batteries are the way to go when you have small children. We used this same toy for our 2 year old. He played with it from about 3 months till he was about 14 months old. This toy helped him take his first steps too! He would hang on to the couch and try to walk to his Leapstart in the middle of the room. A great toy for the price!
