"best batteries and charger"

The best rechargeable battery and charger I ever had. Batteries last long before recharging. Even if you don't use the batteries for months, it doesn't die unlike other batteries that die if you don't use them. The charger takes about 2 hours to complete charging 4 AA batteries, but it's ok because I always have 2 sets of batteries anyway and 1 set (4 AA)lasts long before I recharge them. I'm glad I purchased this product.
"Great quality, Good Price"

I have owned a similar recharger from Maha for several years and it has always provided quick full charges for my digital camera batteries. This model incorporates the BLOCK into the changer making a more compact package. My old charger is still working, this new unit is for travel.
I use AA batteries specifically for my digital camera. It was most annoying to have a photo moment happen, and turn on my camera to see 'Replace Batteries' instead of what I wished to shoot. I did a lot of research and this combination received the highest reviews. My experience bears this out. The batteries hold charge for up to 4 times longer than my previous (Brand name and expensive) rechargeable batteries. The charger itself is compact and versatile, able to quick-charge only 2 batteries at a time, 4 at once, or to drain and recharge the batteries, which is recommended to extend battery life. Well worth paying a small premium for.
This is a great battery charger. Highly recommend it. The reconditioning feature puts some new life in old batteries. Batteries will last longer than with most other chargers.
Bought this charger based on ratings and comments on how well it charges NiMH to capacity and its conditioning cycle. It charges fine but I honestly haven't seen much difference in the flash recharge time on my camera (which is why I bought it in the first place). The one negative comment I have is that it only charges batteries in pairs... So when the battery on my MP3 player runs out, I need to waste a charge cycle on another battery to get the MP3 battery charged.
I have been using the PowerEx battery charger for the past year and a half with great results. This charger has performed without any issues to date.
While you do have to charge two (2) batteries at a time, and may not be a true 'smart' charger, I have not had any problems with charging. I started out with four (4) AA and four (4) AAA rechargable batteries. I rotate through the sets in pairs to keep a pair fully charge and in reserve.
I have just increased my count of batteries (in both sizes) to address the devices that require an odd number of batteries.
