"Wireless Keyboard for Windows Mobile 6.x Smartphone"

Stowaway keyboard works with my Windows Mobile Smartphone 6.1. Other reviews did not mention this version of Windows Mobil Operating System so I am making this review. If you are interested in Windows Mobile Smartphone 6.1, 6.5, etc. then please mark this review as being useful so that it gets ranked in a way that other with newer phones can also see that it will work.
I got it connect with my HTC Touch Pro 2 in a manner of a few minutes. I believe that this should work with any Windows Mobile Phone know matter what your brand/model of Windows Mobile Smart Phone.
So far the keyboard works within an application. Some phone buttons are not mapped to a key sequence equivalent. For instance I can type in a txt message, but I have to press the SEND on the phone screen to have the text sent.
The keyboard comes with a nice case, and is very compact when folded. Take time when you get it and learn the trick to opening it up when folded and how to correctly refold...
It is much nicer than the phone's keyboard.
"iGo Stowaway Ultra-Slim Keyboard does not work with newer Blackberry OS"

After hours of frustation trying to install dirvers for the iGo Stowaway Ultra-Slim Keyoard, I discoverd that this product does NOT work with Blackberry devices running device OS of 4.5 or greater. Check your device OS version before ordering. Also recognize that you will NOT be able to upgrade to 4.5 or greater in the future unless you want to use the product as a paper weight. From what I can tell, there are NO plans from the manufacturer for driver updates. I am glad that Amazon has an easy return policy!
Update: First time I've had to return something to Amazon.com. I'm impressed. The return procedure was easy and relatively quick.
"Works well with Windows Mobile 6.0 Smartphone"

I bought this keyboard for use with my ATT 8525 Smartphone running Windows Mobile 6.0. It works well with one small deficiency -- there doesn't seem to be a key combination that triggers the "OK" function on the phone, which is chiefly used to close Windows. Whatever the key labeled "OK" on the keyboard does, it doesn't do this, and I can't find another one that does.
Purchasers should be aware that this product is no longer being supported by the manufacturer or anyone else. The installation CD was designed for use with Windows XP (or earlier versions of Windows) and did not work properly on my Windows Vista machine, failing to download the keyboard driver into the smartphone. Fortunately, I was able to find a Windows XP machine and installed the keyboard driver successfully from it. The alternative of installing the driver by downloading directly "over the air" into the phone doesn't work either, since the website that it requires no longer works.
Installation issues aside, this is a nice keyboard for road warriors who would like to be able to do serious email from a smartphone but have been impeded by lack of a real keyboard. With this keyboard and my phone, I can now leave my laptop at home for some business trips.
This iGo Stowaway keyboard is nothing short of a technical marvel. I have used the keyboard on two different PDA phones. It is easy to setup and the manual explains the procedure step by step. This is a "wow" kind of device that works flawlessly. Both of the PDA/phones I used it with had slide out keyboards good enough for brief messages, but for real typing nothing beats this mini keyboard.
Astonishingly, production of this keyboard has been halted and it is no longer available from the manufacurer so whatever inventory is out there is all there is. I was able to purchase the keyboard for half price at the time it was discontinued. The $100 price is high and I think it is the same as the MSRP set by Stowaway. Given the limited availability, it is unlikely to be found for much less. If you absolutely need to do serious typing on your PDA/phone, this keyboard would be my recommendation.

Two issues: 1) label afixed to the unit crosses over the keys and the back to indicate how to open and close the keyboard. Useful info, BUT horribly executed; the label is impossible to remove without goof off or other solvent. Really dumb idea.
2) more important: the Win Mobile smart phone Samsung BlackJack II phone (I have win mobile 6.1 standard installed) doesn't appear to work with the drivers downloaded for a Windows Mobile phone.
When asked if there is a better driver, iGO support said:
" ...
John,
I wish I had an answer, but the technical people that were part of this have not been with the company for 2 years. Part of the issue is likely the drivers that were loaded.
Thanks, ..."
So now I contact Fishisfast Electronics for a refund. The web site there mentions only defective products are returnable. Hmmm.. Hope that includes "and do not work as expected". The white letters and most simple punctuation work okay, but EVERY ONE of the ctrl, Left FN and Right FN keys is hosed up. I might consider keeping it for say $20 or so, but not $90 or more (+shipping). This unit should ONLY be sold with an explicit compatibility list on the web site that sells the unit.
